  1. Thank you ! Oh really eeek! oh dear, hope Miah doesn't start doing that Katdogs! (don't think shes big enough to reach just yet) lol Shes already thought about starting to rip apart Joey and Renae's bed in their crate Looks like some of us are in for some very destructive times!
  2. Aussie3, They say Tri's colour Cavs are supposed to be more ... naughty Yeah the zoomies are full on, they are getting faster each day now lol Not sure if you have seen this video yet? http://julesluvscavs.blogspot.com.au/ Its now just after 8am and the loungeroom already looks similar to the pic i put up yesterday !
  3. LOL i did !!! or visa versa, they are getting too old for silliness now, but they still have some naughty old habits Yeah wouldn't that be good if i could teach her that, will work on it !
  4. Everyone had prewarned me about puppies (Ive never owned one before) and i was convinced until now i was not going have one of those naughty normal puppies people speak off Even the cats have never been like this lol Hows your puppy going Sujo??
  5. Miah has been too good to be true since we got her, but now shes been going crazy doing zoomies and trashing the place eeek Shes now 12 weeks old :) I had only just cleaned up that room earlier this morning ! Hmm the pic is the right way up on my desktop but it hasn't uploaded on here the right way up. If you click on the little square icon when enlarging it, it shows it the right way up :)
  6. LOL DD, well hows this for being an obsessive dog owner... I couldn't decided whether to have my hair foil colours done my usual red (to go with Joey and Renae's leashes etc) or purple to go with Miah's stuff.. so I had foils done with both colours !!! well more lilac than purple Lifes too short to be boring !
  7. We have just recently got our new puppy, shes 12 weeks old today :) We are feeding her a raw diet as per her breeders feeding instructions. On it is which can be given a few times a week (just less her other food when giving the extras ) includes sardines (tuna etc), chicken necks, egg yolk, natural yoghurt and sometimes if I can get them chicken hearts (haven't done them yet) Shes allowed occasionally natural treats..
  8.  A bit off topic, but years ago, I was out walking the dogs, rounded a corner and there, sitting on her doorstep waiting for her lift to the footy was a woman I was acquainted with, attired in all her football regalia: hat, scarf, t-shirt, etc etc. It was all I could do to keep a straight face. This woman was well past middle age - - - - Yep thats why I wrote that, Ive also observed people who are like that Most people have something they are really passionate and even obsessive about.. ours just happens to be our dogs
  9. My past dogs (that were over 14 months old at time of adoption ) were from dog shelters and still needed a fair of training ;-)
  10. So far our 12 week old puppy hasn't really done any barking, except some sharp yaps/whimpers when she wants to let us know she wants to go outside to do her business, or when shes bored and wants to come out of her pen.. Its only a matter of time before she picks up naughty type yapping from our 2 older cavs I am mostly home atm, so will get onto her if she starts up. I usually squirt some fine water on the older Cavs (with a plastic trigger container) when they start up, but im not sure if that would be psychologically damaging to a young puppy, so still thinking on strategies to use if she start carrying on .. One of our cavs is deaf so voice commands don't work on her anymore..
  11. well long as it helping her :) I wonder which one would help my new puppy sleep in ! ps She looks very nice with her blingy necklace on
  12. and this is coming from people that are into football , hmmmm
  13. Yeah well thats it, obviously a lot of people wouldn't agree, but Ive experienced alternative therapies myself, so im sure they could be useful for some pets as well :)
  14. ok thanks for your reply Little Gifts :) Ive got some other type for Joey and Renae which i bought years ago from a pet warehouse, and they been fine in them over the years, but ive seen these puppia harness's and wondered about trying Miah with one when shes gets bigger. Ive just got a tiny puppy one for her now that a friend gave me :)
  15. Actually ive never used them with a pet, good idea tho if it works! Have used them for myself in the past for a few different reasons, one being to get rid of nightmares I used to suffer with. I have had some alternative therapy done on Renae to help her with her health problems shes got atm.. i think its helped a bit, even if its just in my mind ;-)
  16. at some of her faces/poses. She must provide you with hours of entertainment! She looks adorable ! what do you think of those puppia harness's? I might get one for Miah when shes a bit older. :)
  17. I give raw chicken mince (similar to the carcass) and chicken necks..
  18. glad to hear shes's doing better. Im feeding a raw diet to my my new puppy as per her breeder's instructions. Hers are all on raw and natural, always have been. Im dreading taking her to vets for her second vaccination as they will probably lecture me against what im feeding her in lieu of their expensive dog food. Someone I know off took hers to the vet for its second vaccination and they were very anti raw too, and said she will have to give her dog calcium supplement tablets. I wouldn't think they would need supplements if they are healthy and getting it in their diet anyway.. Our older 2 cavs get expensive vet food and they still suffer with upset stomachs every so often..
  19. Awww He's beautiful ! Sounds like most of us are doing very well with our puppies so far :) Miah is going really well, full of life and cheekiness lol We have had her for just over a week now can you believe :)
  20. Fantastic pics !! Looks like they all had lots of fun Love the doggy treats and at the turd cup cake toppers!!
  21. Sorry to hear this Jans *hugs*, how heartbreaking. Thats a very kind offer despite the sad circumstances. x
  22. How are all you new Mummy's doing ??? Miah was up way too early this morning arghhh lol
  23. yes a lot can happen in a few mins and everyone knows how often a few mins can turn into a lot longer! Years ago my Mum was sitting in a car waiting for her friend to come back out from the shops and next a car went into the back of the car that she was waiting in. It turns out that a young dog had knocked a car it was sitting in out of gear (the handbrake hadn't been on apparently) and somehow it managed to make the car roll (the shops were on a bit of a hilly area). I don't know the details as it was years ago. It ended up in court, and the guy who owned the dog and the car said he felt bad as he had only intended to be away from the car for a few mins, and he should have made sure his handbrake was on properly. Luckily the dog didn't sustain any injuries altho my Mum got whiplash. Both cars got dents out of it.
  24. Good on you DD for being so caring :) It really makes me angry when people leave dogs in cars on hot days I don't know about other states but i heard recently its now an offense to leave a dog in a hot car here in SA. The cops are supposed to act on it if you call them.
