  1. Thanks. My favourite photos of her She is the image of verve; I thought She was a he. She is a very special she then
  2. No pain relief. As then she will move more than her body wants her to. Pain is nature's pain relief. Sorry have to rush. but if you are going to confine and give to time then you cannot give pain relief, it is counterproductive What Glucosamine do you give? Dont worry about training, socialising walking or whatever for now if you try the above, you literally leave the dog alone
  3. In places where there are no vets to perform bone surgery faith is placed in time, the virtue of a young animal, and nature - to heal or to die. If this sounds extreme, it is not meant to be In your situation, we have established that surgery is not an option so the young BC can be PTS or confined and see how she goes with time. I think you should continue with what you are currently doing (confine and time) but apply it properly to its full extent: Bind the hock leg area with a bandage. If you can put it in cast. Don't confine to a crate. Confine her to a space, space enough her to move a little, and space enough so her mental health is still good. Then you feed her lots of milk and natural basic diet. No high protein kibble or processed food and that includes commercial barf. We want her lean, confined so she cant gallop and twist but space enough to walk, and be mentally active. To the diet you will add supplement of pure Glucosamine. Once we accept that extensive vet surgery is not an option, we hand it over to time and what nature and the dog can do. The decision about the ultimate future of the dog, is an observation of what nature and the dog tell us over time. Does that makes sense? By time, you stop counting the days - you literally leave the dog to the basic supplementary care, diet, environment required - and step back from the situation. The ethos is, you have done all that you can do, now you must accept and allow nature and the dog do what they will do.
  4. And most of them who push the crap dont own more than one or two dogs (if) and/or their knowledge on dogs in general is limited to their own ownership (if any) and vet experience.
  5. My observations lend me to believe dogs do have a sense of time but it is measure against the natural world not the man made world. Minutes and hours are an artificial construct but the real passing of time as shown in the changes of light, axis of earth, seasons, tides, moon phases do affect the behaviour of the dog.
  6. Nic and Oscar Law's supporters: you want me to support these conditions for my dogs? I say you are cruel and ignorant to my dogs' needs. I will never support what you purport because I dont support a 'cause' I look after my dogs and given the above, I believe you dont know much about that.
  7. Maybe your campaign is stalling so much because you take on overseas issues and try to apply them to aust. I could show you lots of shocking pictures from all over the place to do with lots of things but the relevance to Australia and legislation within Australia is about nought.
  8. Caseykay BC's have never done much for me but I just saw your signature pic, and thought Wow! Nice looking dog!
  9. Horse2008 is shiite spinning as always.
  10. When is the dog going to the pound? Which number are you trying? And best you dont desex the dog for at least one month. The dog is not yours. It is lost.
  11. I wouldn't turn down a puppy however part of my selection / shortlist process would be choosing puppies from parents who I liked the look of - this would include colour.
  12. That's great news aussielover I hope your Mindy can return home soon.
  13. I didn't know Dogue's came in black mask. Interesting.
  14. Maybe the story / sequence of events is bogus.
  15. The dog could have been stolen or lost; when will it go to the pound?
  16. WHAT are you going to do exactly with a stanley knife? It's not going to kill the attacking dog and apart from show up how slow your comparative reflexes are it would only exacerbate the situation and cause the dog to attack with more fervor. lol
  17. what i dont get is, alot of those videos of raids and what not, are in daytime so where is the owner? no owners in site just rows of dogs. did the owner go to sleep or something no staff there either. i dont' understand that bit. or maybe the owner went to town to do some shopping. and leave the dogs on their own to give birth. as you do i suppose NOT!!!!!! It is not my business to judge people on their whereabouts the second I look for them. Or how long they go shopping for. Of if their dogs give birth on their own for the whole time or a period of time. Lots of dogs give birth unattended.
  18. This is my favourite line. I've been getting that a lot lately, but there's just no getting through that many of the so called " ethical " breeders, the one's you's want to buy a well raised pup from, aren't or can't abide by the current legisaltion. The simplist of things like raising pups in your loungeroom is enough to see you not abiding by NSW legislation. As with all succulent bs, it is not enough for the espouser to believe it, they want you to eat it too. I also lurve how they believe that they are somebody to tell me what I should and should not fear. As if my dogs and I should bear the burden of their anti-liberty control freak agenda.
  19. But Lilli, it's OK because the RSPCA and the Councils wouldn't do anything about the puppy farmer and their actions are excused, as they are just speaking up for the animals, who can't speak for themselves. The same as it's OK to steal a dog if you think it's being neglected or you find it wandering the streets in less than idea condition. Always two literary masterpieces () come to mind: Animal Farm and Darkness At Noon. The psychology and politics are all the same.
  20. I'm really surprised that anyone 'ethical' (sic) supports a gang of unknown persons going through someone's home. How could anyone support breaking into someone else's property unbeknown in the dark; the stuff of rapists and would-be assailants. And the earnest avengers who copy the rapists and murderers in their skulking technique, how stupid are you? You don't know the personal background of the person whose home you are raiding. Might be one day you choose the wrong target and find yourself or one of your friends faces blown off because your 'puppy farmer' swore they'd never relive the terror. I bet there are no raids in dubious neighborhoods hey.
  21. I know of at least four large scale breeders who have preempted or reacted to breaches on their property with purchases of large guard dogs. I know one day I'm going to open the paper and its not going to be good. word out to any earnest investigators: if you see a central asian or anatolian/kangal it will attack please don't breach its territory. Treats won't work.
  22. Why are they removed? It is easier for the dogs' upkeep. Actually I've found that people dont actually 'notice' the ears are missing, or they think the ears are born that way: little stubs like those African prairie (?) dogs.
