Just saw that Billie was Res Ch Dog, and I think RUBOB as well ??? Craig and Salena's WC was Puppy of breed as well, so they will ned to go back for Specials too... Yep they sure are little porkies !!! Its funny, cos Crystal looks like she only has a little bit of milk, (maybe Im just not used to such a small litter ;) ), but whatever is there must be really good quality ... They are all born white, with the blues having a bluish tinge to their skin, once they are dry, and the reds have a pinkish tinge. If either colour has any patches, then the pups with black patches are the blues, and the red pups have their patches red... Again you can only see the colour when they are completely dry ... They generally start going blue/red at about 2 weeks, give or take...

Here is the promised pics of our gorgeous girl, Crystal and her 4 bubbies, 2 boys and 2 girls All doing very well. I cant believe the huge weight gains these guys have had...

Tazza might be good considering we live in Tas ... Thanks for the others, will mull them over... Mmmmmm Beryl is another good one too... I knew that DOL would help Beryl and Sheryl are good too, I like that they rhyme... Ok on another tangent, if I keep Beryl and Sheryl, can you think of rhyming names for the 2 boys ???
-
Mmmmm thought of that one... Is that the name for Karen ???
-
Ok, so we have a litter of 4 ACD's that we need to get nicknames for, so we all know who we are talking about... 2 bitches, 2 dogs... One boy is Bazza, the other boy is Dazza ... For the girls, I can only think of Shazza, so I really want one in the same vein, but I cant think of another... Thought Id ask the DOL brains trust

Super HUGE congrats to everyone who has had babies Special congrats to you Stolz, after all that you went through, you certainly deserved to have a wonderful ?stress free? litter... Really looking forward to the reg names you choose ...

Thank you dog geek ... No I think I was talking 'ACD talk', sorry ... A 'tail butt' is a black band of colour, usually around the top, (at the anus end), of their tails. Its perfectly acceptable for them to have these, they just are not permitted as a black patch on the body, (if you show them, it certainly makes no difference to their working ability) . This little girl has one little patch on the top of her tail, as well as one just about her hip area as well. Im not going to throw the baby out with the bathwater, if she is the best ;) ... There was a very well known breeder/exhibitor in the Canberra area, in the 90's who showed a lovely ACD with a large black 'saddle', and the dog won its fair share of awards as well ;) ... 'A good dog cant be a bad colour', and all that !!! Hope that clarifies a little bit. It makes perfect sense to me, although being like a zombie, it may not ...
