I have actually found that people looking for a "labradoodle" from ALA tend to be in it for the snob value - they pay huge amounts of money for these dogs and get very irritated if you refer to them as crosses. The modern world is all about the next trend.

Thanks - will go ahead and place an order!

If it has been more than 3 days I would be popping off to the vet for a check up to make sure it is not something else - other things can look like a seizure. Also your dog was unwell before the partial - are you sure there is not something else going on which the seizure is a symptom of???? My dog was completely normal - except when he had the seizure - once he was over the post ictal - completley normal again until the next one.

I have a standard poodle who had seizures over a 3 year period and his post ictal phase lasted for a couple of days on some occassions with a lot of pacing, getting into inacessible places (hiding) , whinning and sometimes howling. We did not crowd him and just let him be. When a dog seizes all their muscles contract at once so it is a big work out for the body - kind of like running a marathon. Giving rescue remedy helped. At other times his recovery was only several hours - but he was always sore and did not want to go for long walks for a couple of days. His seizures were always the same but the post ictal did vary. Good Luck.

What staff n toller said! Happened to one of mine many years ago - she had a course of antibiotics - the other gland became infected a couple of days later and we had to do the same thing all over again.

From memory the pamphlet for Comfortis says it is not suitable for dogs who have seizures. What about advantix? -
If you use a 7 skip tooth blade the coat will come off easier - the whal km clippers are cheap and will do the job.

The meaning of the sentence about "outdated assessment" is very clear from the context - perhaps members need to read a little more carefully before posting.

My Dog Is Not Agressive Some Advice Please
frufru replied to A and G's topic in General Dog Discussion
I take my dogs to off leash parks for excercise and do not want or expect other peoples dogs to rush up to them!!!! Recall the dog and check with other owners before letting them socialise -
OMG, that face!!!! Love the name

I would not board at a vet either - umm, that is where the sicks dogs are and they are not set up for boarding with exercise yards/play area or proper runs etc

What is the deal with dogs being itchy after they are clipped. I have wondered if it is because these dogs are not done very often and are not used to having short hair???? I am itchy after going to the hairdresser sometimes - a bit of baby powder and wipe with a towel fixes this as it is shaved/scissored hair on my skin. My poodles are clipped fortnightly (face, feet and tail with 30 blade) and they are never itchy - likewise my showdogs when in continental trim were shaved with a 40 blade (surgical) on large portions of their body including testicles and vulva yet never scratched after clipping ;) Prices seem very reasonable.

If it doesn't clear I would be wanting it removed!

I got this petition forwarded to me via my rescue group and it went in my trash - it is highly emotive. It has been reassuring to read several posts which indicated that vet students treat the animals they deal with respectfully and with compassion. It is not so at my local pound. I also agree with the comments made about the invaluable learning which occurs. -
I wondered it the RSPCA still owned TW after I saw the for sale advert too !!!! When it was purchased they indicated "the profits from pet boarding would be used to establish an rspca shelter" - never happened. There is no RSPCA facility between Tweed Heads and Coffs Harbour!!!!!!! The Tweed facility can not have dogs overnight so it is very small.
