  2. Totally agree, great formula...but I have milking goats so I usually just do the goats milk to top up if needed.
  3. The highway end :D Coming from melb exit highway left on 2nd Kyneton exit and turn right at the roundabout..will see showgrounds on the left.

  6. Maybe they didnt think that anyone would notice? They didnt bank on super slouth Sway on the job. :D
  7. They didnt do that when they first changed to the cattle pavillions...we could park in the grounds to the right of the gate...if the exhibitors werent in that carpark who was? It is only in recent years that they have done the drop off instead.
  8. Carn the Catters....I'll show with a hangover. [/GO CATS.
  9. I don't show anymore either but like to check how friends have gone. Grp 7 results are usually pretty good if put up by Swayz but results were sadly lacking yesterday except for the hound BIG and R/U and R/U Grp 7. I would have like to have known who won BIG 7 but no use promoting someone else's win I guess OT...Bug, how come I cant PM you..it says you cant use the messaging system
  10. Sorry Lisa...being your first Royal I should have explained the parking bit to you, just didnt think of it.
  11. No no no, alphabetical! LOL! No no not alphabetical!! Ring order alphabetical cos this little black duck was first in, in all my classes I hate being a "B".
  12. Oh and where were your bench numbers? When I got there at 7.30 mine were the last in the whole row....funny they werent in numerical order...
  13. Good breeders of popular breeds don't need to advertize. I always felt lucky that I was in Labs (in WA), cause there were always waiting lists. But I notice that breeders of English pointers, flatcoats, Afghans, and rough collies, to mention a few, have a hard time finding appropriate homes for their pups. The need to advertize proves nothing about the quality of the breeder. You gotta do what ya have to do I spose if your breeding non popular breeds...just cos rescue are advertising in the Trading post doesnt mean reg breeders need to! I am for raising the bar for purebreeds not lowering them to be inline with pf's and byb's. In the good old days we used to buy the Trading Post...but now if we want to look at it we do it online. My bolded bit...not against TP advertising, just not a need.
  14. so that makes Pet Rescue a puppy farm? Perhaps if all good breeders advertised there too it would make a difference and effect the business off the unethical breeders that advertise there. Trouble is good breeders dont need to advertise in newspapers to sell their puppies...I have people on a waiting list for each of my litters. I dont breed enough litters to warrant advertising on anything other than DOL.
  15. We only 2 and half hrs from Kerang...we will cruise on in and be on time for 10.30 start
  16. Aaaaaaannnnnddddd We have a winner!!! 190 Internet Pointz to Kirty! My daughter had her birthday party at the Lost Forest shop...she got a Puggle for being the birthday girl. She is now 26 and it is still there. :D http://www.thelostforests.com.au/html/s01_home/home.asp
  17. I got it too...but I wasnt as noice I got an email from a guy looking for a Puggle today. Anyone else get it? I will post his email and then my reply, I tried to stay noice, but couldnt...then he replied so I had to be MORE blunt. Hi Sharon, My Fiancé and I are looking for a Puggle pup, While I understand that you are a pug breeder and most likely do not cross breed, are you able to perhaps, send me in the right direction of a breeder? I’m not really keen on going through a pet shop for risk of Puppy Farming etc. cheers My reply Hi Anthony A puggle is a mongrel...you can get a mongrel anywhere at your local pound...you would be much better saving a puppy from the pound than encouraging and supporting a Back yard breeder of mongrels. Cheers Sharon His reply Hi Sharon, When I mentioned that I was not looking to support puppy farming I thought that may have demonstrated that I was not looking for any unethical breeding and by suggesting that I’m going out of my way to support a backyard breeder of a supposed ‘lesser-dog’ is far from correct. I was looking only for any well-known and responsible breeders. As I am not a breeder I thought it best to speak to a professional for direction and I was certainly unaware of the politics between dogs which are single breed or multiple breed, I’m sure it will still provide the companionship and commitment to a good owner and home regardless of its heritage. Thanks for your time My reply It is unethical to back yard breed a purebred Pug with a different breed and then to palm them off for ridiculous prices by calling them a Puggle or any of the other designer cross breed names they call them, all for profit only. A registered breeder breeds for the betterment of the breed. There are no well known and responsible back yard breeders. Thankyou
  18. The daunting bit in the booklet which I am hoping y'll are refering to is the bloomin' "drive in...drop off...drive out". I am taking a friend with me who is a beginner at the royal, never been before as an exhibitor....so we are skipping the drop off and will hopefully find a park in someones yard and walk to gate 7 with everything.
  19. Our Vet only charges $155 for a female and $130 for a male..these are 10 kg dogs.
  20. That is correct..and we are led to believe that a puppy farmer kept feeding a desexed dog for 18mths...
  21. I actually read the rules in the little booklet...I think I have broken every one of them every time I have been to the royal...be no thrills this year then
