I like the "About the puppy" questions but the about the breeder, way too personal. But I can see where you are coming from as $3000 is such a lot of money to spend on a dog. I dont know where you live but if you had a nice phone call with a said breeder you may be better asking if you can go to a show they are showing at and get to know her that way.

My daughter is a nurse and could hear the heart beats with her stethoscope on her pug bitch.

Where and how do I buy this Fenuegreek...I have a Pug bitch with 2 1/2 week old puppies and her milk is not what I would like to get them thru to 4 weeks.

I know a Pug breeder who used Tci on her bitch with fresh semen and got 6 puppies...that was at a Vet in Werribee.

What about for pregnant bitches?

Are you saying this in regard to your Rotties? As I cannot imagine anything working better than a Ferminator with the Pugs?

If kennel clubs dropped the price of entries, only has to be a dollar, then maybe some of us would enter and be able to enter more than the usual...as I believe it is the costs that affect entries more than any face judging.

I have been microchipping my puppies at 6 weeks for years...Dogs Vic came out a few mths ago in the gazette to remind breeders that it was not required for them to microchip before the sale of the puppy...so I guess it is now anyway. Until all states of australia are alined with their respecrive canine council rules we will get no where...for eg. in Qld to get a puppy put on LImited reg on a litter registeration it is required by the Qld dogs to get the new puppy owner to sign an agreement saying they are happy for that puppy to go on limited reg and that they were aware of it going on limited reg...HELLO the breeder decides this not the puppy owner. This then goes in the too hard basket for breeders and this is why most puppies one sees advertised from Qld are on main register which in turn adds to the BYBer population and so the cycle continues.

Personally for me it is the increasing costs of bloomin diesel....coupled with the increased $'s per entry. But as with everything in our current society we have to suck it up if we want to continue doing what we enjoy...showing. The judges face judging doesnt come in to my decisions to show...I breed for the betterment of the breed, and the whole point to breeding is to breed as close to perfection as I can get :D and then show them. Hubby is now a member, child is about to be a member...so family involvment growing but we will still be restricted because of expenses also growing.

We only have an average of 5 per litter...I usually keep the best boy and best girl to run on for showing...which will leave 3....depending on sex it often means someone misses out. Out of the 3 left I pick who goes where...a dominant goes if he/she needs to get flown somewhere, and a sooky goes to the young couple starting a life together...personalities in a Pug are pretty much the same, they all clowns and happy as long as there is food. But I always pick who gets who and dont leave it to the new owner.

That is so horrible...I cant imagine how or why people can do that. Emotionally I was more angry at the owner.

We had 7 mls in half an hr this arvo...Ballarat is due from 1-5 mls so as long as that doesnt happen in half an hr all should be good.

Oh they're on the oval, but squished in the middle surrounded by the backs of trucks and side show stuff...its a maze just to get to the middle.

It clashes with Ballarat not BM. I think there were no more entered last year than this?

Hi Jane I am only doing Ballarat...are you plonking in with Angela and Rhonda? We may need the 2 gazebos lol. I have tried ringing the sec and her phone has been busy all night.

I have my Ballarat numbers but seem to be missing one so will have to ring the sec tommorrow.

Ok next time I am at a show I will walk around ring 1...saying "Dolers anyone, Dolers" see who pops up.

Now that pic got the ticker going that is definately different to our copperheads. Ours are smaller lighter and with a definate head attached to body, if ya know what I mean, and it is copper color.
