I havent got a solution for you....but you better get it sorted as he looks like he is going to be one huge dog when he matures to adult size...nice looking pup. Edited to add a suggestion.....what about organising someone to walk him everyday for an hr or so.

Give him charcoal to chomp on and he will stop eating his poo. We have an open fire place and the pugs quite often reach in and grab a bit of charcoal to chew...not when its going of course. So it is something they will eat if they have access to it.

Thats the point. We have Tigers, Browns and Copperheads here....our Pugs would only survive a Copperhead bite. What snakes are known in the area of the original poster?

Last week my Saanen Buck was bitten by what would have been a huge Tiger snake....when we found him, no more than 10mins after being bitten he was already paralysed, foaming at the mouth, frantic breathing and in obvious pain when we moved him. Jack was a big boy, as big as our cows (Dexters). If it had of been one of our Pugs I beleive they would have died before we made to the Vet....unfortunately our local Vet would have charged us near on the $4000, but I know the Vet we use for all the Pugs an hr away would have charged under a grand. Your dog looks as relaxed as my Pugs do around my chooks and cats...also the sheep take no notice of the Pugs either. I have heard that the scent of the dog will deter foxes...so either gather up her pooh and place it on your borders of your property or take her for a walk right around it. I know we have foxes cos we see them running across the paddocks but havent lost a duck for a few years now....all we have left is a drake Muscovy who lives freerange and is about 4 yrs old now. BTW she is a lovely looking dog...and I cant see why as a puppy she would change with the chooks.

I cook mine with brown rice and barley and mix that with raw chicken mince and dry food. Although the fatties just get the vege mix on diet Advance dry....there are a few fatties here.
