Really Sorry about the quality of friends you have a acquired over the years then Sometimes it takes a few years till someone shows you their true colors....and sometimes their desire for a show ribbon is put before ALL else...sadly.

In that case generally I would expect to be dealing with someone I know and trust and a handshake would be enough for me. For you, you could supply a stud/litter form and have it returned to you to be signed once the breeder has completed the names etc and one of the pups would be written up as being registered directly into your name. If you have a stud agreement then this would probably cover the issue to. Sometimes we dont know how trustworthy a friend is until they have the chance to either do the right thing or go the other way and betray the trust. Thankyou for your replies.

The stud dog owner usually give you the form once the stud monies are paid, they put their dogs details and When my dogs are used at stud make sure the bitches name and reg. details are on the form. What if the arrangement was for a stud puppy? As is the case here.

Do you mean she had the dog and the mating happened without you being there ? No I had her bitches at my place.

I have only been breeding for 5 years so not many litters....but when using outside dogs I always wait till the puppies are born and the Litter Registration form fully filled out by me....then I give it to the owner of the stud dog to write their details in and sign. A breeder has recently used my dog to 2 of her bitches, the puppies are a couple of weeks old. She asked me on the phone last night when am I sending her the signed stud forms....I sais to her why would I supply you with a litter reg form they are your litters....she said I have been doing it around the wrong way and it is up to the stud dog owner to sign a blank form and give it to the bitch owner. WHY WOULD I SIGN A BLANK FORM. What does everyone else do? Thanks.

Could also be a scam....careful, been a few emails going around again with similar plots.

Dont forget the Breeders licence driven by their greed...cos it isnt for the dogs welfare.

Tess's symptoms sound exactly like a friends Baby Pug who recently had her first vaccination and 10 days later displayed the same symptoms....staggering, couldnt turn her head, head and tail down, prefered to ly down. The specialist vets my friend went to could not diagnose her with any degree of certainty. So it was put down to a reaction to the vaccination and she had AB"s and some other medication and has taken a few weeks for all symptoms to subside. So dont jump to a nuero problem it may well be a reaction to something in the tabs or Ivermec. Good luck tommorrow at the vets. ETA..Thats what MDR1 is huh.

I am feeding biolac ,I tried to get ingrediants for leeberg formular but cant get the corn syrup ?? Corn(Karo) syrup can be bought from Kerry at Whelping Supplies. If you cant get Fresh Goats milk I would try and get a new product on the market which is powdered Goats Milk aimed for the feeding of animals....I have no idea what it is called. I am comping one of my little guys that is still only 10 gms over his birth weight, I am feeding him fresh goats milk with Karo syrup. As RSG suggested if you keep milking mum at least her supply will deep going hopefully till her baby catches up. Good luck.

That is true but unless you have a really large litter there is enough room to use every second line. All we can do is try it BB.

Did he buy from a reputable breeder? Does he know what a reputable breeder is? Did he buy from a Pet shop? Statements like his need to be backed by more info.

I thought she DID cross Border Collie with Aussie Shepherd and was selling them for $350 on Gumtree? Read the opening post. She said she bred a litter of Border Collies earlier this year. She actually bred a litter of mongrels as she mated her Australian Shepherd with her Border Collie, then advertised the pups on Gumtree.....but I thought it was for $800. But maybe that was the stud fee she was charging the owner of the BC she later mated the Aussie to. Or maybe the $350 was the price of the deaf pups from the second litter of BC x Aussies. The OP is not a registered breeder, she does not have a prefix and she has bred at least 2 mongrel litters this year that I know of....could be 3 though. She is, however, entitled to her opinion as all of us are. This changes what I was thinking but will still reply.....I charge more for Black pugs, cos I pride myself in breeding Black pugs and I am breeding for the betterment of the Black pugs....BUT now every man and his dog ie reg back yard breeders are breeding for the COLOR not for the betterment of the Black Pug. Black pugs are my first love, my first Pug was a Black pug and sold to me as a Show and breeding prospect....he has been our much loved desexed pet since he was 1. Color in the wrong hands is money in their pockets.

I have just looked at my litter reg form and 1 sticker takes up 2 lines in depth and goes half way across into the limited reg column....I think if they want each puppy to have a sticker then they need to re-design the form.
