Liverpool Road Retarding Basin Snake Warning
Shazzapug replied to JulesP's topic in General Dog Discussion
It's a Melbourne Water property, and all dogs should be on lead, except generally none are. There is a large dam and creek catchments, lots of frogs, birdlife and areas for snakes to live. LOL ok so no grass cutting.... well in summer I would avoid this natural habitat. -

You need to give the shire/councils a nudge for cutting the grass re fire safety!! -
Liverpool Road Retarding Basin Snake Warning

I was told by a local yesterday that when the snakes do come out they will be very angry this year as they came out and had to go back under ground with all the rain....I thought snakes were angry enough....lookout dogs and livestock. -
shoot the dogs! :D Maybe you should check the gun barrel with your eye to see if there are any bullets left. Pulling the trigger, is usually a good indicator. I've been on property for three years and the puppies have absconded at times. Any neighbour who shoots another persons dog, particularly if they are known to be another neighbours pet, might as well move interstate. We don't want them here. Capital punishment for dogs. What about all the cats???? I am just telling you what the "go" is....if I had caught the dogs mauling one of my sheep I could not shoot it as I dont havea licence, but lots of farmers do and they do shoot dogs chasing/mauling their sheep. I know of a Pug breeder in Lal Lal and their 2 or 3 pups got shot by their neighbor...common sense isnt very common...Pug puppies arent about to maul anyones sheep or chooks. Why should my sheeps life be of less value to a dog? Or the OPs chooks?

Cool. -
The gate open has nothing to do with anything...the only way people as in council/shire will listen to you is if you have proof that they were the dogs that killed your chickens. Recently we had 4 sheep mauled by stray dogs but I couldnt prove it was them as didnt catch them in the act...but if you are home and catch them on your property eyeing off your chickens as a property owner you are entitled to shoot the dogs.

Sorry, no I don't. Are the cheapest I think http://www.peperonepetsupplies.com Isnt the rubber backed stuff not as good as the normal blue dry bed?
-
No we definately have receptionists and Vet nurses....because when they arent at the desk they are in the file room.
-
Everyone pitches in at our Vets, sometimes you see Vet nurses and other times receptionists...the ones that give me the s***s are the receptionists wanna be Vets.
-
I bought a black wire slant one on Ebay years ago...very sturdy. OT But a question for Sway...do you sell the Dry bed?

They wont they will pass an inspection on one property and have the dogs on another ,they will look good for the inspection and then do what ever they want.and how will they stop people from buying them in bulk from interstate any way. Puppy farmers dont care about this - they build bigger and better concrete jungles pay the fees and off they go. The government cant tell anyone how many puppies they can or cant breed or how many they can sell or where they can sell them. So what - they may see some who breed lots but how does that stop them? It doesnt - all it does is make more good breeders say its too hard and walk away and leave an even bigger market to the commercial breeders. I couldn't agree more - I am thinking this is just another money making scheme for our broke Queensland government. I think a lot more thought should of been put into this and why were there only basically three bodies talked to about what should be happening. As in most cases the people that are doing the right thing are the ones being penalised and it is not going to stop the puppy mills from selling the pups without being registered. What do you mean? You are one of the ones doing the wrong thing....people doing the right thing are reg breeders like a friend of mine in Townsville who was forced to move from her house or face the shire coming to seize her dogs.

Thankyou so much for this Sway....I am going to do this during the cooler months....get all my puggie buyers to my place, within reason cos some are interstate.....so cool.

I have Pugs and do Polaramine or Claryentine before I would even consider Phenergen....I gave Phenergen to my 3 yr old child once and said child had a Convulsion 30,ooo ft up in the air in a plane so I lost faith in it after that.

I think it is a genetic thing that they will have a few white hairs somewhere on their body....if not on their chest then a few white hairs will be found right down in the groin where you cant really see them. I too prefer not white on my Blacks, and what may start out as a thin line will fade and only be a little row of single white hairs when older. I personally would not show or breed with a Black that had a large white mark on its chest. Puggz, how big is the white on the puggy you are looking at to buy?

What names did you end up deciding on MM?

I use Buscopan (all natural) from the Chemist for all tummy upsets in my Pug babies.....works everytime....half a tablet for up to 2 weeks, once weaned a whole tablet.

I had one of those in this litter. Lucky for me on was on the phone at the time to my mentor and she calmed me down and talked me through it. Weird part we had already discussed this at various stages, I knew what to do but i just could not seperate the emotion and do it. It's when the blood sugar levels get low and the puppy gets cold and goes stiff (As if it was dead). It can happen in seconds! I had the puppy in my hand, and it was all good, I put it down and it went stiff like it was stretching and it was cold to touch. You can rub sandoz/Karo syrup/glucose in to the gums and help to bring the puppy around. OMG I have had one of them....put it down picked it up, freaked out, put it down.....then picked it up and it was all good again. I was so freaked out I didnt tell anyonne. Phew see I wasnt going mad. Thanks for this thread Puglvr. He only did it to me once.
