  1. Now that you got me started Nic...do you know what rescues do now to contribute to this Puppy farming problem? They go and buy pregnant bitches that are to due whelp any second for thousands and thousands of dollars from the pf's....what does that encourage? They are doing the opposite to what should be done.
  2. Ah for a perfect world. It's never going to happen with things like Oscar's law, which - like I said so many pages ago and only one person acknowledged (thanks Jaybeece) it's the sneaky stuff that gets pushed in with these laws that is actively divisive of the entire dog community. For example - banning the online advertising / sale of dogs. This will have reputable registered breeders backs up immediately, as they are being lumped in with disreputable puppy farmers simply by choice of media. Divide and conquer. This is what the anti-companion animals nutters will do to the dog loving community, by fostering widespread feelings of guilt, shame and pity in all dog owners, whether breeders or not. Rubbish. I will not ever understand why registered breeders are not doing more to promote/educate re Pure Breeds? I just googled “I want to buy a puppy” all I came up with was puppy farms, pet shops and back yard breeders. Even a PP trainer and behaviourist LOL. IMO you guys should be up there first hit on google offering education and advice re Pure Breeds (or even warning re crosses of breeds) and what owning a puppy entails. Instead you all sit back in an insular world complaining about your rights being disrupted due to so many dogs being euthenased and doing nothing. Seriously you guys are doing nothing to help yourselves or your breeds at all. You have no idea what breeders are doing for their breeds. And if you have an easy way to get to the top of the list in a google search feel free to enlighten me please!! Pay for it. Yes indeed....everything comes down to money.

Exactly and those that think otherwise are the suckers making it easier for them to accoumplish it.
  5. I have just clicked on my links...the one in my favorites takes me straight to a big error page. But the url that is on the top of the email we were sent the other day about the Hendra virus and what they would cover etc works as normal.
  6. I use small Wheelie bins bought from Chicken Feed..they are perfect.
  7. I use Yellow sulphur a teaspoon in the Pugs food and it helps keep them flea free...now this has worked for every year for the last 5 but this year it didnt work, all this water around, flea epidemics everywhere. I also use it in my goats feed for the control of Lice.
  8. Sorry but I am big time OVER Facebook...I have 2 teenage daughters, need I say more. I would rather Facebook NOT infiltrate DOL, but who am I but a person over 45 who in Internet terms dont really count.
  9. Do you have a pic of these mats...if my mate Andisa has one then they must be good lol.
  10. Dont ask me how but sometimes a Pug dog knows if the bitch has an infection and just wont tie. Which is why I usually put a bitch in season on a cause of AB's just to make sure...some dogs are very clever at knowing what is going on with a bitch, more than what we know.
  11. If anyone has ever lived in an Asian country, as I have, you would not send a puppy to that country, period.
  12. We are only 25 mins from Ballan and often travel the Ballan-Geelong Rd to visit granny in Meredith....wonder if it is at the vacated sheep farm, with huge sheds already there. After Beremboke I dont think the area needs another puppy disaster.... Couldnt be the same people could it?
  13. I know of 2 litters of 9 but only 6 survived in one and 4 in the other. Hopefully all finished here. 8 babies, 4M and 4F ranging from 90grmas to 150grams. All happy and Healthy. Mum and babies all doing well. Crikey what a huge litter...do you put your bitches on their back to feed or do they do that themselves?
  14. OMG that is a little one. That's like 3 ounces or something? Can't wait for pics! Is that typical for a Pug or is that small? Hope you have an easy whelping! I had a Pug litter a week ago and mine were 181 gms to 230 gms, 4 bubbas...my average is always over 200 gms.
  15. Seeing how you are in Qld make sure whatever you use kills Hookworm.
  16. I too love to hear from my pug slaves lol. I still keep in touch with puppy buyers from my very first litter...and I get updates of their children growing up with their Pug. I have people getting their second and third pugs now. I love all the pics I get and I reply to all of them. Maybe you havent heard cos there is something major happening in your breeders life, that takes her away from the puter. :D
  17. Are they on main register? Are you a registered breeder? :D
  18. Same goes for Pug puppies...they are either in your face or they are in your face We also have very small litters compared to most so often puppy buyers get a choice of this one or that one.
  19. LOL I added one yesterday...met a Wolfhound puppy..actually a backyard bred mongrel cos it was crossed with a Deerhound and was only 7 weeks old...but apart from this he was all Wolfhound and gorgeous.
  20. :D - that's ok BB - another 6 this months so I am sure I will see you soon. :D I did look at a few trolley covers today so I might have a better cover next time. Got any pug results to share Lisa?
  21. dwarf cattle, I think. The cattle are Dexters...and the show he did that he compared the 2 types, one with Chrondodysplasia and one without was very imformative and something that the Dexter breeders Assoc was happy to keep sweeping under the carpet. He lost me when he said his Pugs eyes popped out.
