Sounds like us!! Hoping for our 2nd pass this weekend. So far 1 out of 3. I dont know where his head goes sometimes when we enter the ring. But thats trialling for you

Well no pass on Sunday. A bit of confusion before hand had me a bit flustered and Ramses was out of sorts all morning. More interested in relaxing than working Number 3 was nearly finished when they called us..No6. I had just got him out to give him a bit of a warm up and they were asking if we were ready to go in the ring. So I raced over without warming him up and ready to go in the ring when the steward says oh no its ok we dont need you in right now! So we did a bit outside the ring but by that time Id got a bit flustered being rushed around and didnt want to miss our turn! So write this one off and its full steam ahead for next weekend!

Sounds like your making great progress BM!! Well our trial on Sunday is looking like a wet one lol Time to get out in the rain this afternoon to pake sure he will drop wether its wet or not. He is a good boy and usually drops..Although we havent trained in the rain much lately Lucky number 6 this weekend!

Yeah a tripod will be coming along with us this Sunday! Miss 11 is my sister who is my trusty trialling sidekick who helps me with the gazebo and filming She is coming around to the idea of training their little dog Penelope. She was so excited we got a pass god love her! For Christmas we are getting our own video camera. At the moment we are borrowing one from our stepdads school. Although this weekend not sure what we are going to use. Maybe just an Iphone.

Not per hour no. Usually a consult is 2 hours. A session is never generally an hour. But then again I have a dog with issues.

I havent paid under $250 for a behaviouralist yet! That is cheap.

Yeah I thought we would have lost moderne the recall too. Thanks guys! The beauty of the Internet lol P- I was training with the lead in my right hand yesterday and it was much easier! Lol

Thanks! Yeah Im assuming he moved a foot and we just cant see it because of the judge in the way and I didnt notice it at the time. As soon as the words came out of my mouth for the recall I thought oooo I said that a bit quick! But the judge said we lost a point for him not heeling briskly at the start of the recall. He started heeling after Id taken a few steps. And tight corners is our focus this week.

Here is my video of our time in the ring last weekend. We have a bit of work to do this week but over all Im happy with our pass! We got 20 for heeling, 18 for SFE and 19 for recall. If anyone can see where we lost marks in the SFE let me know! I couldnt tell and forgot to ask the judge on the day. *Warning* The video is very shakey in parts due to an 11yr old losing her focus watching us And here are the stays- Once again its shakey. I really need to re-learn how to edit the videos and chop out some of the crappy bits lol What do you use to edit vids?

Thats my plan for October. We have 4 trials between now and the 2nd weekend in October so if we keep going the way we arew and title between now and then Ill be having a few weeks off before seeing how ready we are for the next ring. Im really excited about the November trials int he Gazette Does anyone else get excited over the Gazette?

Im loving this months Gazette! Got some good local trials coming up in November. Also night time!! How much easier is that!! Fingers crossed only need one trip to Sydney in November. Now to start training more seriously for the next ring. Anyone got any tips?

There is video except Im having trouble getting it off the camera right now lol. Also the photographer lost her mind and randomly films grass/stands behind a pole/moves the camera all over the place Once I get it uploaded Ill link it. :D

Agree about the skirting boards and lounges. 2 staffords in the kennels together in the one room tore all the lino up off the ground. No idea how the managed to lift it but by morning there was torn up pieces all over the bare concrete floor. Amazingly the bed wasnt touched though

Those leads are horrible! Ive never trusted them. Glad it worked out all ok but I agree the other owner should have come and got his dog!

Once a week I meet up with m boss who is an ex trialler. Only an ex because he doesnt have a dog at the moment. So he runs us through the paces and if there is anything I want to work on we do and anything he picks up on that needs work we go through. This morning we went through our turns. Ramses keeps going wide in our left turns and we have worked out why. My footwork plays a major part in the turns so I will be working on that with and without the dog to get it up to scratch! Anyone else get a pattern in their trial numbers? I have 2 number 8's and now a number 4! .

And he is back to normal. No more kitty litter poos. Last night was a dinner of boiled rice and he slept outside just incase there was anything left in the tank but it was all clear this morning.

I love love love my leather lead! And outside of trialling and training for trials its the lead I use. Im trying to convince my partner to get one instead of a round nylon lead which I hate! But he loves it. I find Ramses doesnt notice as much when I take the lead off. Probably should start training without a lead a bit more often I think.

Happy to report its 10mm The first trial the other week I went in with my 3/4 inch 4ft leather lead from k9 force Heavy Duty stuff haha
