  1. Redman gave Daddy to Cesar when he was a pup cause he didn't have the time for him. Cesar got Daddy when he was 10 yrs old. So sad that he passed but the time had come. He was truely a great dog and admired by so many! EFS
  2. Roughly how much is a 20kg bag of Bonnie?
  3. My next dog will be done at 12months to let it fill out and develop a bit more. Ramses was done at 6 months and he was fine!
  4. When we got this house Rams was the first thing I 'unpacked' because we had no furniture or anything at the time there was nothing to unpack until it all got return from the cleaners (had a house fire) Took us nearly 4 weeks to get a new house and Rams was staying at my boss' house for that time so I could only see him 3 days a week for a while. It broke my heart so he was the first thing to come home We are moving in the next few months and this question has popped into my head too! I think Ill be moving the majority of everything into the new place then bring the dogs and the goat over and continue to unpack. They arent too fussed by anything. The cat however will be in the dog crate until the new house is set up exactly the same so as not to freak him out.
  5. Hahahah yes he does have good teeth!! Young! Im starting to look at him as old :D :p compared to the other 2 but he isnt really he is at his prime basically Now which pic would that be? In your car? Although not passed out Or in my car? Also have one of him in mums car but he is just curled up on the seat ready to go Looking through all the pics we have he has had such a good life so far. Been on holidays with us, goes to the river and on outings all the time, always has kids to play with, he also put up with me dressing him up in all sorts of stuff lol
  6. Any rope toys or tennis balls! The 3 of them love them!! Rope toys are the only ones that last atm!
  7. Thanks guys! I love that pic too! He was about 6 weeks old, it was the last visit before I took him home
  8. That I picked up my beautiful Rammy boy! We have been through so much together! Family break-ups, house fire, changing from suburbia to country area, health issues but we had made it through and he still has a wag in his tail and smile on his face! We dance and be silly and at the drop of a hat he can be sensible and calm down! He loves nothing more than to snuggle and have cuddles and he is the love of my life!! I love him to bits my true heart dog!!! He has gone from this cute squishy monster... To my wonderful well behaved, love that he is today
  9. Is that the same one another DOLer bought for her lab and it was too small?
  10. Ramses onyl ever growled at me once over a bone. He was 6months old and got in trouble for it and has never thought about it again. He tries to move away when i approach him while he has a bone but I can walk right up and take it. He does not allow Teddy the goat to approach him while he has a bone or any of the other dogs he will have a growl and chase them off. I seperate them all at feeding time and for any treats.
  11. That is true! Our closest neighbours across the road had a ridgie and a foxy, and they would always come racing out of the house and follow us when we walked the dogs. They now no longer have the ridgie as my OH accidentally ran it over when it was out wandering and it shot out in front of his car. The foxy is still there and gets out every time!! I get so angry as often there is cars and cyclists on the road and with a narrow country road, 3 people walking dogs, cars AND cyclists with the foxy in the middle of the road and the owner standing in the paddock watching!! Nearly bit his head off and blurted out 'do you want another one of your uncontained dogs killed on the road?!?!?!"
  12. We moved to semi-rural with no real fencing when Rams was 2 years old. At first he would wander off into the cow paddocks if I didnt go out and check on him regularly. When I went to work I tethered him but would always come home and he had gotten out of the harness and collar and would be on the verandah. We put some chicken wire up on the fence and he hasnt gotten out since then. We have even had thegate been left open (by furniture people) and I went out hours later and he was just sitting on the verandah. Kane might wander off if you dont check on him regularly but if he is anything like my lab boy Rams he will come racing back as soon as you call
  13. Its is used here in the Wattigan state forest in NSW. Signs up about it. Was a bit scary considering we were hiking with the dogs!! Its used a fair bit still.
  14. At the kennels where i used to work the first thing to go was the octapus, the ring was the only soft toy that didnt get eaten straight away! Nice and tough!
  15. I reckon just put it on him tight enough so he cant get his nails or anything caught in it and leave him to get used to it.
  16. your boys name wouldnt be Monty by any chance? We had a choc lab at the kennels i used to work at who would constantly dig in his water bowl! We clipped a galvanised bucket to the door and that fixed it
  17. Exact same thing happened to me with the beds!! Couldnt get the frame together tightly because the mat wouldnt stretch, gave me the craps!! I put the wonky bed out for the dogs and it got shredded couldnt be bother ordering a new mat so chucked the lot! Only good thing ive ever bought was a wire crate!
  18. I was worried Ramses had CC a while back as he had a cough for a few days. Asked the vet possible causes and they said could be CC, heartworm or something else. Luckily it was something else! Turned out to be a throat infection and went away with some tablets.
  19. They are so cute!! No labs though! Bummer! The frenchies are cute!
  20. Id love to know what floorboards my gym uses in their aerobics room. Weights and step boards and all sorts of things get dragged along the fllor and only minimal scrathes! Would be perfect!! I have vowed to never get a house with wooden floors again! So glad im not the onyl one with this opinion. If i ever build a house its going to tiles all round and carpet in the rooms.
  21. I was once asked if Ramses was a purebred because he didnt look like it because he was skinny I was mortified and told them he wasnt skinny he was perfectly healthy! and not a crossbreed! Although without papers who knows but he looks as labby as labs can get minus the fat!
  22. Agreed! We rent a place with a real soft wooden floor. High heels leave a mark on the floor let alone dropping a spoon while washing up! We cant have the dogs inside because of that. Id go for tiles, if not a really hardy wooden floor.
  23. I use a mix of white vinegar and water and soak the patch then let it dry and it totally neutralises it. Worked for my room when my cat peed in the corner and under my bed.
  24. Ah Sorry, Myrtle with the pups. There was so many leos there that day! :D
