OT- Bub do you have 2 dogs -Bub and Bitty or just the one? I always thought you had 2. No offence intended. Luckily the pup was returned and the people werent made to feel horrible. You did a good thing as a breeder!

My boy Ramses hangs around 31-32kgs. He once got close to 40kgs and my god he was a barrell!! I went away for 10 days on a cruise and came back to a fat dog! Spent the next few months getting it off him.

Id be onto the council and or the police because neighbourly relations or not that is not acceptable !If they wont listen to your Oh's stern warning or the mother what chance is there of getting them to stop it any other way.

You must be joking Brooke The dog belongs to you, the foster kids don't.......no contest is it really???. She asked for no flaming. That comment is harsh. Helping foster kids and troubled teens is obviously something Brooke values. Good luck with whatever you decide. It would be a hard decision to make but your the only one who can decide whats best.

Yes I loved the ep where he was kayaking along some river and Cadbury was just laying in the kayak with his life jacket on. Cadbury is like my boy Ramses quiet and adapts to anything. We should have our own show :D

Friend the Beagle hates those chews!! They are too big to treat like a tablet and put it down the throat so we have to much it up into his meat roll of a night. Rams has no dramas because being a lab he eats anything!! Leila the GSD just gets tablets and I give them to her so no fuss.

When Ramses was 6 months old I took him to nans with me for the week. At the time my 90yr old grandma lived with them, very fraile etc etc. Ramses was so gentle! He sat by her and was almost scared to move around her, he just knew somehow!! He is now a pet therapy dog, and we visit people in a dementia ward.

Id get one of those for Rams but he would kill himself with it literally He is that obssessed with retreiving. I have dumb family members who think its good for Rams to be so worn out from retrieving the ball for hours in summer that he is dribbling everywhere and has the shakes :angry: Lucky I knew what to do in that situation and he recovered!

Caught in my house and straight to the pound..Im sorry but if he wont keep it in, and it got in your house there is no other choice! Id be livid!

Lucky!! Thankgoodness it wasnt bloat...Did the vet say what in the lasgna made him sick? I dont know how Ramses hasnt had bloat yet! He has gotten into his food bucket multiple times and scoffed 1/4 of it (20kg bag!) also has gotten into the wheelie bin a few times. Each time his stomach balloons out and he has the runs for a day or 2 and it usually goes down. I keep him quiet and only let him have water till his stomach settles down. So far have been lucky!

It was rejected and will not be going ahead. So the residents got their way.

Personally dont see the big problem with it. The area they want to put it in is an industrial area anyway.

I dont think the vet would supply that info to anyone off the street unless they know you.

Just to drag this up again but I have a question about pet insurance. Do you pay the vet then put in a claim and get the money back at a later date or does they vet just wait until the claim goes through then you pay them? That part about it i dont quite understand.

Every few months. At the moment Rams has taken to sleeping in a hole he has dug in the backyard so he is nice and dusty all the time but apart from that hardly ever wash him. OH baths Leila (GSD) even less than that! Maybe 1-2 times a year. I dont like bathing her because she is a PITA and tries to get out, whereas Rams and Friend (Beagle) just stand there and let me do whatever I want. Good boy dogs they are!

OT but what kind of dog is Echo? She is gorgeous!

Have you seen a reciept for the $4k vet bill? Id be slightly suspcious of a vet bill for that much! I personally wouldnt be paying anything as it wasnt your fault.

I step in when Leila gets too rough and Friend starts to yelp a bit because she has him pinned and he cant move. Ramses and Leila I let them go for it! They love it and have a great time and because they are similar sizes no need to step in really.
