  1. Yes Rams drools, put the bowl down and wait for the river to flow!! Yuck! The beagle drools on walks or when its hot.
  2. That so cute!! I love how the orangutan showers the dog with love and the dog showers the orangutan with love. Its beautiful!
  3. In my opinion, Goldie- hands down. Goldie and GSD are very different temprament wise. I would go for a Goldie any day
  4. Im in a similar boat doggle worth. Last Friday I had a call from the real estate because a neighbour had complained our dogs were barking and there was someone home but noone telling them to stop. Now I had been at the house 10 mins earlier and they werent barking. So from the time it took me to leave the house and drive to work the neighbour had complained. The situation on Friday was one dog was chained up because she kept escaping the electric fence and then jumping the gate. The other 2 were in the yard and the chained dog couldnt reach them. We are in the process of putting a colourbond gate on our new rental house because the existing gate is a farm gate. Waist height, wire and broken and the dogs can see through it. Lucky it was the long weekend and we were able to work on some techniques to try to curb the barking and mostly all noise they make. We have only been in this house 3 weeks and already a complaint from a neighbour. I have spoken with the boys on one side and they said they never hear the dogs and they knew on Friday one was chained up because she had gotten out into their front yard and they let me know she was out. The older cople on the otherside though...Ive been over the a dozen times and no one will answer the door. I have seen the lady go from hanging washing outside and then go in but she wont answer the door. I simply want to clear it up with them, explain the situation and what we are doing to try to minimise the noise and to give them my phone number so they dont tell the real estate again but no they wont answer the door! Good luck with it doggleworth...Its hard knowing your being watched and spied on because of the dog
  5. I like to have Ramses by my side, he likes to forge a bit so we comprimise. As long as he doesnt pull and doesnt walk in front of me then thats ok. I always give him off leash time if I can on our walks and he loves that. If we go for bush walks I let him be in front especially on the narrow dirt tracks, I like to see where he is.
  6. yes but it is a totally different type of 'wag', a mad dog will have a higher and more tense wag, whereas a scared dog will often hold its tail loose and wag it slowly or have its tail between its legs. The general non dog savvy people will just see a moving tail and think "oh happy dog".
  7. Ramses is 4yrs old and has only just started leaving his coat on overnight. At 6 months he just had to brave the cold, because he chewed his coat, his bed and would not use the kennel I had for him. Now at 4yrs old he has matured some what and is constantly in his kennel, with his coat on and his bed is intact. Such a relief now!!
  8. At the moment I am putting a coat on Rams at night only. Its not cold enough her in the day yet.
  9. So how old is your Leo? Wow Steve thats awesome to have not 1 but 2 oldies with you! Whats your secret to longevity?

  12. Petbarn at Rutherford! The staff are always nice and friendly and helpful. Petbarn at East Maitland however, rude and give you no time of day. I will travel the extra 15 mins down the highway just to go to the rutherford store.
  13. Hey Pm how long did it take for Princess Poodle to go back to white?
  14. No way heavypaws, I wouldnt take that as being sexist ..Mens breast cancer aware-ness is almost taboo! I agree more needs to be done to promote it! However for this fundraiser its support the Pink Hope Foundation and the theme is pink. The reason its pink is because mum has the Braca1 &2 gene and is having a preventative double mastectomy on 28th June. We are having the footy match on 5th June and a big fundraising event on 25June. My brother will be tested for the Brca1 &2 genes and when he gets his results Feb next yr we will have a blue party to raise the awareness (by then I hope the pink has gone )
  15. I volunteered mums place to do the dye because they own the house and I rent. She wants my place beacause the shower head is on a hose and I have a shower curtain that can be hosed down. Im not into that plan My shower curtain is white and I only bought it 2 days ago hahahahaha
  16. That is awesome!! We are going to do Penelope on Sunday! So excited!!!
  17. It should be right, as long as it comes out eventually, I dont mind have an oddly coloured dog for a while With the coloured hair spray..was it safe? Did your dog lick it? Thats the main thing im worried about Ramses is a licker and I dont want him to get sick.
  18. I dont want it to be permanent so probably going to go with food colouring or spray on dye...Photos will be a must! Practising on my mums dog first.
  19. Hehehe sorry pink all the way for this fundraiser match! The players are wearing pink boots, pink footy socks, pink tape and pink shoe laces. Im dyding my boy and mums little dog. Im thinking of using food colouring from what I can tell its safe but just wondering what others have used.
