  1. It will be all this hype and then...nada.
  2. Lovely puppies everyone! WA - that foot work is a cack! She's so steady! Tess is a darling - I love how desperate she is to do her tricks, especially the fast drop! Dante is stunning! So gorgeous, I went and checked them out, but the new knowledge of their coat loss means they will never be one of our dogs. They sure are beautiful. Archie is so pretty - I love his colouring. Rebus is adorable, I love the stage where their ears are floppy. All the puppies are adorable! Makes me want to have another one and then I remember all the hard work - no thanks.
  3. Silly question. Yesterday both dogs were wormed and today when picking up the dog poo, I noticed white flecks in all the poos. Never seen this before. It sort of looked like paint chips - you know if you scrape paint off a wall and you end up with little paint flecks. Does that mean the dogs have worms or is it from the medication? We use Canex.
  4. Perhaps they are listed as silver due to the average joe not knowing the correct name; i.e. blue merle? I also didn't know BCs come in lilac???
  5. 'Breeders' who sell their dog at a higher rate saying that the colour is 'rare'?
  6. Congratulations. No wonder you are popular, the food looks delicious!
  7. Sorry to read about Portia. Hope she will be OK soon. None of my dogs have ever had an ulcer, so I can't help there. Does the vet know how it occurred?
  8. Don't know if you've done this already, but also post in the Wei and the White Shepherd (or GSD) forum, you may have better luck. ETA: and you will be communicating to those who already own them so they can answer all your questions (if you have any).
  9. Hopefully as the pup was so young when it happened, it will forget the cruelty that was laid upon it. I'm all for an eye for an eye when people like this *@#$%! harm a defenceless animal. Let's see how he likes it.
  10. Poor dogs, what a horrific way to die. And poor owners, what a terrible lesson to learn, one that will stay with them forever.
  11. Whenever I hear about young kids doing these type of things, I cringe, not only because of their actions, but because it's a concern with what they are going to do as adults. Any well respecting and morally brought up child would thing that throwing rocks at any animal would be abhorrent, whereas I suspect these kids found it funny and fun. ETA: my condolences for your mum sumosmum.
  12. Each to their own I guess. My only question is that now they are married, does this mean they can be more than friends? Is this what they were aiming at, or was it just a bit of harmless fun?
  13. Anyway...glad the puppies were found and will now be looked after. Mind you, I don't understand why they chose to get rid of the pups, as they would have been feeding off the mum? It's not as though they were older and needed normal food.
  14. I'm hopeless with FB...how do I become a fan?
  15. I also liked watching the dog grooming show whatever that was called. It's a cack!
  16. We do 20 mins every morning at a very fast pace and then on the weekends we take them to the doggy park for some free running for about an hour. The walk there and back takes approx 40 mins each way, so it's a good walk on the weekends.
  17. Most of the people who walk their dogs in Goulburn use a lead. It's the dogs that are allowed to roam free that are a problem. Three doors up from us is an extremly aggressive stumpy tailed cattle bitch who will charge at our dogs. Luckily hubby has been with us. However, sometimes he travels (like Sunday) and I will have to walk the dogs on my own which I hate due to that dog. It irks me so much that people have no consideration of others.
  18. I usually watch Caesar Millan if I'm going to watch any dog show. There is a show on the weekend (can't remember the time or day), that is called Breeds 101 which is really, really good. It goes into each breed and rates them for suitability for time to groom, exercise, train, family dynamics and house size. It's also on youtube if you can't find it.
  19. Let's face it, any Cav is gorgeous.
  20. Although she hasn't found all of her dogs, I'm glad she has been reunited with two. I hope she finds the others, although I'd be amazed if little Chi's would be able to withstand water and debri. And an amazing coverage of the journalist.
  21. Oh my god, Kirty, I'm so sorry about your loss. My thoughts are with you at this sad time.
