I voted adorable. I would have voted 'pretty cute' if there was an option. He's a nice looking dog regardless. -
If You Were Choosing A Breed On Looks Alone...
poochmad replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
Well it didn't say to pick 5 other breeds and my breed of choice just happens to be the one I also find most aesthetically pleasing Lots of people own breeds they don't find the top of their list in attractiveness so it's a fair point to include your current breed if they top the list :D Actually I just felt bad that I didn't include my own breed as number 1 choice. -
Working from home today and it's meant to get in the high 30s today. Dogs are currently asleep next to me in an air-con room. However, if I go outside to do something, they go straight onto the lawn and sunbake. If I opened up the shutters and the sun was showing on the floor, both would be drawn to it and immediately go to sleep. Funny dogs.

What about moving out of Canberra, say Yass or Goulburn? They seem to be a lot more relaxed in country towns, the rent is a lot cheaper and there are a lot of commuters that you could hitch a ride and share the travel costs.

If You Were Choosing A Breed On Looks Alone...

Have to say, it's nice to see that some have not included their current breed of dog and have expanded...obviously the dog/s you have are the number 1 choice. :D -
If You Were Choosing A Breed On Looks Alone...

1. Bernese Mountain Dog. 2. Leonberger. 3. Newfoundland. 4. Briard. 5. French Bulldog. Would love to get any of the above breeds, but unfortunately the top 4 would not fit through the doggy door and would not do well with our stairs and the last, hubby doesn't like them. -

Why I Love (and Am Thankful For) My Dog
poochmad replied to Pretty Miss Emma's topic in General Dog Discussion
I love Jindi because she is so: Cuddly, soft and gentle natured. Conident when there is something strange outside. A good watchdog without being a barker. Friendly with all dogs. Is a true bird dog. Is sweet tempered. Will allow me to do anything to her without any hint of annoyance. Extremely loyal and will follow me anywhere and everywhere. Is coming out of her shell and is so brave with both strange adults and children (when before she'd run away and hide). Is adorable and easy to train - now knows: shake hands, high five, speak, wave and roll over. Loves her food to a fault. -

What a lovely thread. I love Henschke because: He's a big goofball that has so much character. He has a great bark on him that makes me feel safe. He's a big sook. He loves his daddy and will lie on him the most making me feel better that he gives hubby some attention when he's really focused on me... ;) Everyone loves him. He has the most adorable eyes that melt your heart. He's obedient. He's great with children and all dogs. He tolerates our smooches and cuddles. He gets up and walks away if someone is bothering him. He's not a guts. -
Found. French Bulldog Mornington Victoria

Lucky for all parties involved that you found her. -
That's what I read too. One has erect ears - Nowich Terriers and one has folded ears, the Norfolk Terrier. They both look like nice dogs.

That's really nice. What lovely people.

I thought it was illegal and you could only use them at certain times of the year?

Out of curiosity, can you tell me what type of dog door you got? Is it the one that goes in the sliding door or a different one?

A Bit Confused About What To Do With Nelson
poochmad replied to redial's topic in General Dog Discussion
There you go. You are a wonderful person and you obviously have a talent with picking dogs and bringing out their full potential. If it wasn't for you, this dog may have been PTS. Don't give up on what you do, and that is sticking up for the dog incorrectly diagnosed. Dealing with dogs like these, you are going to have some wins and some losses - but the wins would far outway the losses. -
I like Pepper or Rum. But maybe that's because I'm hungry...can't wait to see photos!
