How gorgeous. Very cute and fluffy. :)

What a great name! I love names with special meanings!

Thank god it was nothing serious! Poor baby (though I can't stop giggling).

Poor girl! I'd be taking her to a vet first before taking to a chiro-better to first find out what you are dealing with.. They may need to do xrays which would also help the chiro if something is out of alignment.

Our male does not like storms at all. If we get a storm during the night, he comes over to our bed and gets as close to me as possible. We always invite him up onto the bed and then he lays on my husband. He's pretty good nowadays, he will only stay while the storm is bad and then he goes back to his bed. Our female is only fussed if it's a really bad storm. When we had heavy hail recently she just moved closer to me on the bed.

Very teary here. As much as I love my dogs, I hate that they go so soon. I can't imagine my life without either one of them.

Dog Beds - Free For Rescue
poochmad replied to poochmad's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Hi. I accidentally deleted posts from the lady who was interested in the beds. Can you please resend me your details. I have injured my back so have not been at work, but I haven't forgotten you and we are still interested in giving you the beds. -
Teaching To Speak On Command
poochmad replied to dogmatic's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I got Jindi to bark by getting her excited and then rewarding her. She loves food so she picked it up pretty quickly. -
Oh. Littleduck, he's gorgeous! He has such a kind and sweet expression.

You guys are all lucky. I'm not allowed to get another dog, I was lucky to get my female...so please post as many photos of your new babies here so I can live my dream through yours. :D

What a beautiful story - brought tears to my eyes. Can't believe people can be so cruel. -
Nsw Bushfires - For Newbie Members!

For someone watching from afar, just wondering how everyone is at the moment? -
Ooh, Field Spaniels without the dropping of hair would be great! I love, love, love the breed, but the hair everywhere, including flying through the air drives me nuts! I often think about 'the next non-shedding breed' when I'm vacuuming the walls (yes the walls!), but then those soft eyes look at me and I can't help but think of our next Field. Sucker for punishment.

Dog Beds - Free For Rescue
poochmad replied to poochmad's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Don't think the beds we have is what they are interested in. My preference is for rescue groups, regardless. -
Hi. We have a number of dog beds that we would like to donate. Two are hard plastic that have the biggest cushion for them (used once only), two are the outdoor type (hardly ever used) and two are soft round types (dogs love these, but hubby wanted new beds and who am I to argue?) We are located in Goulburn, NSW.

Jindi is the snuggler, she loves cuddles as much as she loves food. Henschke is the big goofball, cuddly at times, but doesn't like to be smothered. Jindi came from a largish litter and Henschke was only one of two, so we often wonder if that has anything to do with their personalities.

We were told to use olive oil for our male as his skin was really dry, was extremely itchy and he had no shine. 5 spoons are added to his dinner (he loves it) and it only took 2 weeks to notice the difference. He's stopped scratching, his coat is lovely and shiny and he smells great. The only drawback is that he's put on a bit of weight so we're adjusting his food intake and he's slowly losing the weight. ETA: we had tried everything, sardines, fish oil, flaxseed, shampoo, nothing worked.

Ok.. A Pic Of A Gorgeous Girl! September 14

A nice and happy ending. Just the type I love. Buttons looks really lovely. :) -
Our male Field Spaniel had really dry itchy skin. We couldn't work out what it was and no amount of adding sardines or washing him in Malasab had any effect. Our vet said to add good ol' olive oil to his dinner, about 2-3 tablespoons...within weeks his coat was shiny and he had stopped scratching. I can't believe how much olive oil is needed to stop the itch, but it's worth it. He's a real chubber now and is hardly fed anything, but I think a bit of flab is better than a dog who is in so much discomfort. When he can't fit through the doggy door, however, I may have to rethink the amount.

That's great news. Any photos?

All of your puppies are just gorgeous. Makes me want another...until I remember how much hard work they are. Still, there is nothing quite like a new puppy to make you go aaawww! -
Wow, words are not enough when you read something like this. So very sorry for both your losses.

So sorry for your loss Tralee, that would have been a hard decision. She was a beautiful looking dog. The music was beautiful. RIP Sookie.
