What do your vets say about the pain management? My girl Shadow (greyhound) started limping one day, nothing much but we took her to the vet, he took Xrays and sent us to the ortho specialist the next day, who diagnosed osteosarcoma. Given the location (very high on the leg) and her age (9yo), she advised against amputation and that Shadow get her wings that day. She also said that the usual pain meds aren't very effective with this type of cancer, so didn't recommend that we leave it and just try to treat the pain.

Has Anyone Used A Dog Life Jacket?

Yep, for kayaking. My dog would always jump ship and swim to the other kayak (must have been thinking "that kayak over there looks steadier, I'll try that one" ). Had a handle on the back so we could easily bring him back on board (although there's a knack to this, to ensure kayak, paddler and dog don't capsize ... ) -

I'll aim to get there earlyish I can't stay all day, have to leave early, but will enjoy watching Perry and the other dogs strut their stuff. Will bring hat, chair and a camera.

I'm sorry peibe My friend's kelpie has lupus, but I think it's cutaneous/discoid lupus. I can ask - she's had her boy on treatment for a number of years.
