  3. Teamsnag - Thanks again for all your help ~Erin~ - WOW! My jaw dropped when I saw this photo! Thanks for posting it Eventing Pony - Thanks so much, Monique has loved reading all the DOLers comments. All the best for your first show After you do it once, its like second nature. Except my first venture into the ring was at 6 months pregnant trying to run a 6 month old Elkhound. Well wasnt I a sight to behold! Haha Morsha_68 - Thankyou We actually were all very impressed with the judge and how encouraging she was toward Monique. A big thumbs up for her Ellie - Thanks and I couldnt agree more! Moniques Dad has been showing since he was about 13 and he has always said he wanted our kids to get into showing since he enjoyed it so much when he was young. Huntia - Thanks so much, yes the whole family was stoked! I think Moniques Grandmother ran her mobile out of credit on the day, calling all the relatives and friends telling them about Monique and Blackies day I was trying to get the best shots I could but it was hard to watch and photograph at the same time considering I was almost shaking with nerves! capanash - Thankyou! Monique picked out her outfit *almost* on her own I had to talk her out of a pair of low-heeled shiny pink shoes but other than that.... she knew what she wanted, to "look like a person from France because thats where French Bulldogs are from". I think she really pulled the look off well
  4. Ahh now I see! It wont let me view that perons pictures but thankyou anyway!
  5. Hi, Thanks im a little confused. if that was some kind of link you posted it doesnt seem to work..?
  6. Its been donkeys years since Ive been on DOL, But I just had to make this one little exception. My 7 Year old Daughter Monique made her dog showing debut yesterday at the Brisbane Water Legacy Dog Club show at Morriset. Monique showed "Blackie", one of 3 baby puppy French Bulldogs bred by her grandparents. Moniques Father showed the other two baby puppies. Monique and Blackie were first up against her Father and another Baby puppy bitch which is one month older than Blackie (also bred and owned by Moniques grandparents) We were absolutley shocked and so proud when Monique and Blackie were given a first place!!! Moniques very first dog show and she had put her dad to shame. He didnt mind at all though After all that excitement the time came for Monique and Blackie to run off against Moniques father and Blackies brother for baby of Breed. Monique was visably much more confident and amazingly pulled off another victory! The other non-sporting exhibitors and spectators were wonderful and applauded Monique and Blackie which was just wonderful and put the biggest smile I have ever seen on Moniques face!! And next was baby pupy in group. Moniques confidence was sky-high at this point and she and blackie performed better than we ever dreamt in the line up. On this occasion Baby in group went to a gorgeous Keeshond, but Monique displyed great sportsmanship for such a young age and whilst she was a little disappointed, her ear-to-ear smile returned one she was back in her seat and looking at her first place ribbon. All in all, an excellent day,one very happy little girl, one spoilt Frenchie puppy and 2 very proud parents! The first of many to come, i am sure. Monique's already furiously filling out show entry forms. A big thankyou to the non-sporting ring people on that day for making Moniques day much more enjoyable!! Like I daid, a while since ive been on here so im not sure if Ive remembered how to post pictures or not, we shall see.....
