  1. DC: K9: Yeah Im aware, I still get a lot of emails from UK people wanting e collar advice, but they do warn that they may get sensored... DC: K9: I have been on numerous groups & forums with Lou, he is no doubt one of the best posters world wide, both in providing quality education & training advice on e collars & he can really master a discussion... All round good guy, handy fellow to know... Looks like you two are having fun on that forum, wish I had the time.... lol.
  2. I didnt anal ys it.... lol... Im off to the field....lol..
  3. K9: I will have you know that I have many clients with Chis... however, muzzles on those lil guys, they tear through the suits...
  4. K9: I cant say, though in a bite suit you do sweat alot. However, I have at times seen people standing in a puddle of, pure fear, when they were new to civil agitation..
  5. K9: Im writing it down, this is the serious training advice I give... (still waiting on my certs & I fell off that damn uni cycle)
  6. K9: Hey I can't get you a pink one, but few of the black ones turned red?
  7. K9: well its usually a secret but between you & me, us Pro's use Hi Fibre..... lol
  8. I have always found that a Genuine Weet Bix Training certificate is better value, it comes with red nose & uni cycle training.. & of course more fibre so the crap flows easily lmao...
  9. K9: these are the martingales we have, chain slip not nylon... Metal buckles that dont slip, no plastci, we have 3 sizes, fit every dog
  10. K9: Hey Dennis, good to see you back... DC: K9: oh they are here alright, waiting to strike I bet lol...
  11. K9: many dog trainers belong in the circus... lol... but they have trouble co ordinating the Uni cycle...
  12. K9: people should take alook at the snap on their leads, look at the bolt that passes through the ring, you may see that it is hollow or was hollow & has been filled with solder or similar. Most die cast snaps are made this way, a good tug & the head pops off the bolt & your dog is free. When you catch him, if you do before he is injured, you dont have a leash to get him home again...
  13. K9": I agree, I use a martingale for safety other than corrections on young dogs.
  14. K9: I dont recommend any of my clients use a check chain, havent for years.
  15. HR: K9: sorry HR, you lost me? dont do what?
  16. Yeah sure... Im sure you have seen people grab the ring on a collar when the leash snaps & lost top of finger? Seen that about 6 times (this year). When a handler comes to me & they have lost confidence as their dog is aggressive or something, a step in the right direction is a good leather leash, the cotton & nylon ones turn into a string when you grip them tight & leave you feeling that the dog is going to get loose...
  17. A colleague of mine took on a new client bthat had a Law Enf dog that needed some work, before beginning work I always told him to put one of his own leads on the dogs, one time he didnt & although the handler had a leather leash on, it was a cheap one, it snapped & put my colleague out of business. He lost use of his right hand, his face is scarred beyond belief... I will only use my own leads for safety reasons. They are here
  18. Contact abseiling shops & ask for bungee cord.
  19. K9: you would be better with a martingale collar, just in case flat collar is slipped by the dog.
  20. K9: considering that I feel that there is a real need (to elevate drive) to have the dog "taste" my skin cells & sweat, you need to get quite close....
