Triangle Of Temptation
Steve K9Pro replied to Steve K9Pro's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
K9: yep sure can any age at all. K9: is the dog actually doing any of this or do you think the dog might? K9: yep sure can though it does allocate success being marked by the clicker rather than you. Any dog doing well on the clicker would do just as well with ther verbal marker of yes, but essentially you can use a clicker, yes. K9: no. K9: no such dog. K9: feed in the garage or inside house. Its essential for the Alpha to leave the food for the lower pack members to eat without being respectful of the Alpha. -

Alternative For E-bark Collar
Steve K9Pro replied to Heidley's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
K9: Citronella has the same effectiveness as the Cold Spray collars, wok on a similar principle however citronella can be harmful to the dog. Many dogs have from mild to severe reactions to citronella -

Alternative For E-bark Collar
Steve K9Pro replied to Heidley's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
K9: Most times the collar ends up the in closet after x amount fo weeks & the barking is a thing of the past -
Alternative For E-bark Collar
Steve K9Pro replied to Heidley's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
K9: The collars do not teach the dog anything, the dog learns that barking isnt as pleasureable as it once was, this breaks the habit & when the collar is taken off the dogs dont bark in many cases. The 99% success rate is based on a "fit the collar the barking stops" test. This is the first step that needs to be taken to get the council & neighbours off peoples backs in most cases. Without this high success rate, there is no chance of braking the habit. -

K9: The Cold spray collars in our own personal tests returned a success rate of approx 70 - 75%. The electronic no bark collars, namley our Dogtra YS300 is constantly returning over 99% success. -

K9: sure see also http://www.k9force.net/index.html?row2col2=antibark.html Cold spray collars spray a jet of cold air under the dogs chin when the dog barks, this is startling to the dog which interupts the bark. They are painless & 100% legal in all states. -

K9: dogs shouldnt be left wearing any type of muzzle unsupervised. Alternatives to e collar Anti Bark collars are the Cold Spray collars. -
K9: I would pen them separate for two reasons, 1 being that if the play in the pen, some drive used up 2. Dogs that spend more time together than with the human can become too doggy

K9: just let me know plenty of time in advance, bookings are currently full until the end of July...

K9: Yes of course it will, if they can satisfy their drives or even part of their drives that leaves none or less for your training. K9: we sell an inexpensive Large Dog Run for under $550.00 that is 2.3 (wide) x 3.8m (long) that is fine for two large dogs to be penned or one dog per run, these have proven very successful for a number of people training through my methods. My own dogs currently are not penned any longer, they are retired now. They are penned when I am in a lesson, they are crated when inside with us.

K9: of course not! I only play to win! K9: Very welcome, have had some great feedback from a few of the people there. K9: PICTURES PEOPLE! Well done on the sweepstakes too! K9: ok thats leaves 7 I still need to perfect lol... K9: lol, maybe they can now... Rom you need to jump in the car with Seita & get yourself to the "Take the guesswork out tour", I have a lot of new additions to my training in drive work that will really surprise you....

K9: That must be one hell of a workshop we ran up there in QLD, you & Rom both doing very well! Well done!

Triangle Of Temptation
Steve K9Pro replied to Steve K9Pro's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
K9: there can be several reasons for this, but none of them are normal, as you can read here. The way that your implementing the program / the way your interpreting your dog being "sad". The level of dominance in your dog The environment Your expectations vs level of training your dog has & many more... Make sure your following the program exactly.
