  1. What a gorgeous baby you are so lucky they brought her back We rehomed a 6mth old male a few weeks ago to a home who seemed great, they promised the world for him. 2 days later they call to tell me now theyre unsure about him because he's wrecked their carpet by peeing on it (they knew he wasnt housetrained and said it would be fine) but said theyd persist with housetraining and call me in 2wks. About 2wks later i chase them up to see how hes going and am told they rehomed him because they couldnt handle it. Now i dont know where he is nor will the new owners make contact and the first owner wont give me their email address so i can see if hes ok. D**kheads ;) We gave him to them on the condition he came back to us if he had to.
  2. As the owner and breeder of a 'Bully breed' i just want to put in my two cents worth. As a witness to sudden attacks i can tell you dogs wanting to kill will do damage in a split second of grabbing the victim, especially to a small pup with nice soft puppy skin, and its takes a huge effort to get them away from it, let alone picking the victim up whilst the attacker is still free. (note- i would have picked it up too im just stating once picked up your hands cant then fight the dog off , i have picked up an male entire Bull Terrier years ago when we were rushed by a street mutt- looked like kelpie x) Why wouldnt you report this lady after she promised the dog would be kept on lead from now on then shortly after you see him off lead again? Bull breeds seem to be the thing at the moment so every tom dick and harry have them and breed them. So they're everywhere. What happens if they are banned? People move on to other breeds, soon every tom dick and harry have another type and everyone has one and then attacks will happen and they'll be banned too. I dont think i could choose a larger breed of dog who id be happier to confront in 'kill mode'... i think any dog in that mindset be it a Staffy or Labrador or GSD i would be terrified of, i cant imagine myself thanking my lucky stars that the dog who just attacked me or my dog was a Rottie and not a bull breed
  3. I cant sing praises loudly enough for Royal Canin Cant fault it!!!!
  4. Very sad to say Jed i think there is more than one nutter around Will be interesting later in the year when i am in their state for a show eh?!
  5. Well said! Im over it now, it was just a shock to open their email and have them call me that, not what i expected! Good luck to them....
  6. Ahhhh that makes sense... I 'nicely as i could' told them i deal with time wasters all the time and if they dont want people enquiring for her lines, then put it on their ad, because not everyone just buys any old bitch because it can be bred with! (then i blocked them... :D )
  7. Hi Becks, i think they must just think a uterus is a uterus? I dont know but i thought it was so damn rude (they are breeders of another breed and knew i am a breeder too, so you would think they would understand i deal with real time wasters all the time?!!)
  8. I dont know why i find it so insulting! I enquired about a bitch that is for sale, which does not have any information of her pedigree on the ad or their website, but states she can be a breeding bitch, so i emailed and asked her lines, they told me, and its definitely NOT what i want, so i thanked them for their quick communication and said a polite 'no thank you' Got a short email back calling me 'just another time waster' :D Nice i thought!!!!!! If you dont have any info of the dog you're selling why complain when people ask about the lines?? Would anyone else here call someone a time waster just for asking the dogs lines if you dont have them up on a website anywhere?? I certainly wouldnt!
  9. We offer lifetime support and will take the dog back anytime. Refund or replacement guarantee up to 1yr of age for any problem that was not preventable. For exceptional homes we replace their dog's at no cost no matter how it died or at what age.
  10. Cant the owner of the stud give him a bit of a helping hand to get him in the right spot?
  11. I wish the public was only scared of Bull Terriers every 10yrs I wont let mine walk past any loose dog, i will cross the road, turn around or if its not too big and i can tuck up all the legs and tail ill pick it up (not the best option i know), my dogs are more important to me than anyone elses dogs or offending their owners to risk it, and im not just thinking of them perhaps being attacked, but them getting 'germs' from a strange dog, i dont know how good theyre looked after!
  12. Some of my Bullies do it, some dont. My mum had a Ridgeback who does it too. The ones of mine who do it will take any opportunity, towels hanging up, a persons skirt even!! Curtins, doona's hanging off the end of the beds, the bottom of the Xmas tree!
  13. ;) Always happens that way ! You get more of the opposite sex than what you want to keep Ugh tell me about it... my last litter i wanted a couple of girls, or one girl at least, just one!! And i got 8 boys
  14. My childhood dog (A Cocker Spaniel) did the same thing from day one (no skywriting here just the trail the jets leave) she would bark and bark until it had disappeared. Even into old age (and stone deaf) she would still know when there was a jet about and bark. Stranger, her name was Honey too!!!
  15. Theres got to be a few around, there are alot of litter's being bred over there the last few years. Im in Vic and i have 3 of my babies over there theres plenty in Vic but i never see any but my own unless i go to a show!
  16. All mine are fed Royal Canin Maxi Junior dry food, adults & pups alike. I dont change to adult dry no matter their age. They also get chicken, fresh rabbit, fresh eggs, fish, yabbies veges, fresh milk, whatever we make, grow or catch here and they get their mouths on they eat :D
  17. good to hear all went well. Did they spit and gag and carry on? I also use Drontal puppy liquid and have for years. Used Troy once on first litter every 2wks and found it didnt work. So went to a better brand. Ocasionally i get a pup who'll puke after having Drontal at 2wks but its not often. Never have worms or see them. My pups hate it though and my white ones always end up pink afterwards ;) I get my Drontal puppy liquid from my local stockfeeds place and they cost just over $15 a bottle :D i love my stockfeeds place ETA I use the liquid at 2 and 4wks, and start on Drontal tablets from 6wks
  18. OMG Mine have grown up seeing cows and bulls, roosters and chooks doing it, they arent fazed by the dogs doing it thank god
  19. the poor baby. I too poke and prod my babies from day dot until they leave, but ear holes are something i dont think you'd expect could be missing! Did the vet discover it when he put one of those ear microscope thingys in or can you see it just by looking inside it when you're cleaning it? Are both missing or just one?
  20. I posted a thread awhile ago about a breeder of my breed who has been selling Main registered pups for years which are in fact crossbred. And getting away with it. And im lead to believe there are other breeds who can have this problem. This should be cracked down on harder too
  21. Second worst part of being a breeder, dealing with the buyers
  22. We had a girl at our local pound a couple of years back, completely obvious she was a Dogue de Bordeaux cross (not a breed common here), she was just crossed with something smaller and lighter framed, and she was not allowed to be released because she had a red nose :D
  23. I feed Scooby Snacks from the supermarket! Anyone feed these? All natural and they help out PetRescue too
