  1. Wilderblu that photo of the puppy licking the lamb is one of the most adorable photos ive ever seen! Totally Ot but couldnt keep it in!
  2. Raised alot of litters on Wombaroo, love the stuff Ive tried Biolac, Divetelac and evaporated milk and the results were nowhere near as good as Wombaroo.
  3. Get yourself some Advance "Rehydratable" puppy dry food, it would be a much better size for your babies
  4. Good luck Woofen, wishing you and mum-to-be a healthy problem free whelping and litter
  5. Advance Rehydratable is the best ive found to start puppies on, its very small sized pieces are a perfect size for babies
  6. A large group of Bull Terriers should be called a "plough" If you dont get out of the way you are face first in the dirt
  7. Just had a squiz, gee you would think after this long the new website would be amazing, the links and things are all over the place and it just looks like sh!t. I hope after all this waiting this is NOT what we're going to have to look at from now on
  8. YAY we get Gertie and Tigger(?) cuddles - can't wait Yup started lead training... Oh the joys....! PS Still not 100% on the other girls name, Tigger suits her but, ah i dunno
  9. I will be coming, bringing my 2 pups for the socialisation, they missed out on being able to be shown by one week Shellybeggs and Zed n Q are going thats why im going, and because these shows are only 10mins away from where i live too I dont think the weather will be bad this time going on what its been like so far, i hope anyway Anyone else coming?
  10. I bred 2 litter sisters, one had 7 nipples, the other had 8. The bitch with 7 nipples had 2 litters and all pups in those litters had 8 nipples. We bred the other sister with 8 nipples once, and she produced pups with 7 nipples. I found it interesting.
  11. Depending on your vets machine you may have scanned too early. Give it another 1-2 weeks and you will see puppies if she is pregnant. My vet does not like to scan until between 5-6wks. Good luck :D
  12. I would feed Bonnie Working Dog over Supercoat, but make sure to feed extras like fish, raw meats and bones too. I used to try out a different brand of dry puppy food with every litter, to see which is best. They did not thrive on Pedigree, Bonnie puppy or Eukanuba, Supercoat, Eagle Pack and Royal Canin gave them the runs, (even though i feed Royal Canin to my adults) then i tried a litter on Advance Rehydratable and it was so fantastic i have stopped trying other brands and have done 3 litters on Advance now. My current litter was weaned onto Artemis Osopure power formula because due to circumstances they had to be looked after by 2 amazing ladies for a week, so ive kept them on that, but will be sticking with Advance for future litters
  13. You dont cook your Lenards mince do you Tigey?
  14. Just adding my 6wk puppy pics, time is going waaaaaaaaaay too quick for me, this litter has been awesome fun. Probably helpedthat Shellybeggs had them for a week when they turned 4 weeks, she did the weaning for me My keeper "Gertie" being her typical self Boy 1 Boy 2 We are all still at my mums in the Kerang town, hopefully moving in a couple weeks
  15. Thanks for the replies, i did find the Rufus and Coca spray in the supermarket and tried it one night, the next morning one pup had hives all over her so thats been chucked out. I continue with the outdoor spray which seems to work, i just worry about it settling in their water, thanks Pers might try the outdoor coils instead ;) Hopefully tomorrow i can get my hands on the natural stuff. Can dogs catch anything from mozzies?? ETA a pic of most of the babies
  16. I am in Kerang and currently with sooooooooooooooooo much water around we are being plagued by mosquitoes (not to mention crickets omg!) We've never seen anything like it, and they are out 24/7 and really getting in to my Maremma's nose, my mums 2 dogs (small fluffy and a Ridgeback) and i have 6wk old puppies here who are almost being carried away. I had been slathering them in RID roll on, as i cannot get my hands on the natural creme i usually use, its got sandalwood and cedar or something in it. Today my puppies have started getting small bumps on their heads where i roll the RID on (not surprised really but still ) Has anyone got any other suggestions until i can get my regular natural stuff? There is no pet stores here and because of all roads being closed bar one which makes travel times alot longer i am unable to make the trip to the nearest decent town atm. Im also using a Mortein outdoor spray which i sit over the puppies area at nighttime. Since our house flooded i am at my mums and because her asthma gets really bad if animals are inside i cannot have the pups in the house  anyone have suggestions for better outdoor management of mozzies as well? Thank you
  17. Years ago i was walking my very first Bull Terrier, and i had to once lift him up into my arms to protect him from a SWF roaming the streets. Owners thought it was hilarious. I have had to do the same thing taking my dogs to the vets, some owners in the clinic dont have their dogs on the lead inside and i have to stand there holding my Bully up too keep both parties safe.
  18. We were lucky and found a shelter in Echuca willing to take our dogs and cats for free for as long as needed. Thumbs up to them ;) we also had help from some DOLers without whom i dont know how we would have got all the dogs out. It was looking good for our home, the levy was holding but it blew out and we have lost our house and most belongings. We did not lift our whitegoods high enough so all will have to be replaced. I have a very close friend helping us with things like bedding, beds for us and family but we may need further assistance now replacing things like dog beds, bowls, leads, things we forgot to lift up. We are currently looking for a new home but dont know also how long it will be before we can get back in to get the dog runs thankfully most are portable. I have not contacted Dogs Vic because i dont know how they could assist, should i call them?
  19. Ive been (trying) to play Megadeth songs on Guitar Hero the last few days and i can see why the dogs/wolves took off ;) I love bands like Metallica and QOTSA but Megadeth is too much
  20. Oops i meant i wont ever be able to thank you ENOUGH but looks like you understood LOL i cant wait to see them again
  21. Hi Dolers thanks for all your help, Shelly brought all the crates we needed to cope and finally yesterday we found that the local Lost Dogs Home would take the dogs and cats for free for as long as needed so everyone except the Maremma is there, the Maremma stays with us (anyone who knows the breed will understand why). Been talking to a guy who lives down our road, he boated in today and checked our house, apparently the levy around it is holding as we should be able to go back home in a week or so. Yes i had to make a mad dash home Saturday morning as i was called and told my horse "Blackie" was tied to a fence (WTF!) had to wade through waist deep water in thongs (forgot my boots) to get him, biggest challenge was getting him back through, this boy has a big fear of water and would never put a foot in a puddle let alone deep water, well i told him as we were heading towards it he would have to come through or stay and drown, well he didnt even flinch and went straight in, he is 16.2hh and it was up to the underside of his belly and he just kept going, what a boy. Hopefully will be able to get my babies back this week just need to get the boss to give me my 2wks wage he owes me ;) i wont ever be able to thank Shelly/ Zed n Q ENOUGH for taking them, i know they are being very well looked after but its such a horrible feeling having puppies and not HAVING them, cant wait to get them back Flood was worse than thought and had to move 200+ cows/calves/bulls as well Saturday after getting the horse out, 5hrs later with cows collapsing left right and centre and the worst case of sunburn ive ever had and they are safe. The town is still isolated and the surrounding areas are all going under the water is not receding yet its just getting more widespread and affecting more people. I hope it just p*sses off soon and we can get home and get past this THANK YOU DOLERS for your thoughts & help without it i would probably be stuck at home with all the crew in the house, with no power and probably be a bit up sh!t creek
  22. We've just been told to get the hell out ASAP and my phone is buggering up i can be contacted on 0422 315 141, im meeting Zed n Q at Cohuna in 2 1/2hrs she is taking my puppies weve got to MOVE NOW
