  1. Please call the breeder for advice, there may be issues with the rest of the litter. Good idea to see another vet asap. I have two Cavs and know that new pups can be fussy eaters but Hills puppy biscuits moistened in a little water and a little chicken on top should work. My new Cav pup liked to have the food tipped out of the bowl and smeared on the mat (very messy but perhaps something she was used to with her littermates!) Is he drinking much water? Please let us know how you are going. Good luck.

  4. I also have a puppy now 13 weeks and think you're doing everything right, but we also put her out after each meal too as well as after her sleeps. Hopefully your pup was just having a dream as I've never had a dog mess their own sleeping area either. We were disturbed when our older dog started eating the new pup's poohs! Vet said this was completely natural & not to worry & he's actually now stopped! You should'nt worry, just enjoy your new pup.
  5. This is my first post so I'll probably stuff something up in the process! We have a 4 year old desexed male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a month ago we bought a bitch Cav. puppy who is now 13 weeks old. They appear to get on very well, I feed them in separate areas and make sure to give the older dog special walks and outings in the car and leave the puppy at home. She's quite a handful, a fearless minx! I'm a bit anxious when I watch them engage in very rough and tumble playing sessions, the male growling and barking with the pup swinging from his ears or tail and pouncing on him, biting him everywhere with her razor sharp teeth. During these sessions I notice that both tails are wagging constantly even when she screams to be released from his jaws, but I have to wonder whether it could get completely out of control as she could try his patience just too far. He has a great easy-going temperament and in comparison she seems so pushy and is always going back for more "games"! The Forums have been such a help to me I'm hoping someone may have a few words of advice.
