Wishing you all the best. -
Squeee!! Well done, Mita :D

Mine too - I don't apologise for picking up my dog sometimes when walking. Better to be safe than worried about offending some stranger. Very smart, I think & priorities in right place.

That's news to me. All the ones I've seen were just wooden with drapery. This. Depends on how much you spend, there's obviously different kinds. Wood common.

PM Mita? :D -
A cone won't save you on Aussie roads :) A good idea to carry, but not something I'd trust my life or the life of my passengers to. :) You're trusting a stranger to understand what it means & slow down. An isolated traffic cone doesn't mean that. Some people may be cautious & that's great, but it only needs one driver to swerve around the cone & you're likely toast. eta Trucks have to carry 3 warning triangles, one to be set up between 50-150m behind stopped truck/spilled load, one to be placed 50-150m in front & one to be placed at the side, to indicate the start of the spilled load or side of truck. And there is no chance I would trust my life to them, either. Traffic controllers are killed in traffic controlled areas with hi vis equipment & huge amounts of cones & signs. Be careful of yourself before choosing where to stop.

How do you die from stopping? Just curious Somebody running you down if inadequate line of sight &/or inadequate safe shoulder to pull completely off the road. Eg. The other side of a blind corner.

Bertie was my half sister's dog, he was about 12 when he came to live with me. We then didn't see each other for over 6 months. The first time we saw her after, Bertie immediately lay under her car instead of mine, through the day. He obviously missed her. He always still came with me when I left, he knew it was our car now, I don't know exactly how distressing it was for him, I think the only way it worked was because there was always long gaps between visits. Also she had little kids at the time that I think he was grateful to leave. I really don't think it could have worked with shorter spaced visits.

Some of us are bored/housebound, Rosetta  Thought you were staying on topic now, dogmatic. Wow, 7000 posts is a lot to read through & prove completely wrong overnight. Speed & dedication, look out MUP  Puppy licence is the allowance given by some older dogs to puppies, so that the puppies are treated gentler for behaviour that might otherwise get them into serious trouble. Some dogs give this licence to children as well. Just like some adults give this licence to children as well. *waits for puppy licence to be turned against PP dogs*

Very interesting thanks, especially the habituation.

Sweet I love being a guru, will there be burnt offerings? :D Nawww, you must have missed my edit, sadly the thread I was referring to self-combusted
-
I suggest that it may be a waste of your valuable time figuring out why. I think it's more a play-if-you're-bored sort of thing. Post history can be a good indicator if you're really keen on the figuring, though. :D eta arrgh, actually thread I'm thinking of self combusted.

It's OK. I understand. Your dogs have no command to bite people, but they will bite people if you're not there to tell them "leave" and you believe this has made them a lot safer and not a liability and everyone else agrees. I have a stuffed toy that will not do anything to anybody no matter if I am there or not
