We used to have a Leonards near us and the mince was awful. Actually, I bought frames there once and they were off too. This shop has been closed now for about 2 years, but it really put me off buying from Leonards again. I found lumps of onion in the mince. They are a franchise, so others may be great. This shop had the frames delivered to them because the shop itself did not do the actual butchering of the chickens. I don't know if they are all the same, but that could explain why the stuff doesn't last too long and is often smelly. It has to be transported, so that adds time to the whole process. This shop then minced some of the frames and put the leftovers from other stuff in the mince. I now buy from a La Ionica chicken place and it is great. Only chicken frames in the mince. $1 per kg and the same price for frames. No chlorine smell. Lasts for ages without going off. Very fresh.

A VERY poor show, that's for sure. It would be like someone asking a question of me as a behaviourist and me supposedly answering by saying "I don't want to go into details" and even worse, expecting the other person to accept this as sufficient. I noticed that the German Shepherd Club stated something to the effect that they were worried that a lot of dog owners in Victoria were not even aware of this Bill and the proposed new laws that will effect them. This is one of the things that has really annoyed me. They were saying that if a person is not a member of any sort of dog club or organisation, they would not know about this. I think if more people had been aware, there would have been more protest about it. More questioning. I think, not sure, but there would probably be more dog owners who are not members of organisations than are??? So, by stating that they have consulted stakholders, they actually haven't in my opinion. Here is the link to the draft Hansard transcripts. And, who is going to run the courses that the owners are made to attend? No mention of who will be doing that?

And you can bet the Registration will go up more than just $1. The councils will be grabbing more money as well.

I like the way she brought up about puppy farms as well. It is a fact that Brumby didn't want to tackle them due to the fact it is an election year. Wouldn't want to upset too much "money" and votes! So glad they got that bit in.

I have used this chart for dosage of antihistamines. Antihistamines Dosage Chart I have used Polaramine for me and my Staffy. Works well for us. I think it just depends on the individual dog or person, which one works the best. Trial and error! Polaramine comes in two different strengths, but the one that is the strongest one is not really suitable for dogs. It is a slow release tablet that should not be cut or used if the outer layer of the tablet is damaged. If the outer layer is damaged,(chewed or cut) too much of the drug would be released at once. The lower dose Polaramine are the ones mentioned on this chart.

There is some talk that Bruce is going to be released to a rescue group across the border. His release gets a mention here, Visit My Website "East Galway Animal Rescue (EGAR) has said today that the court will allow Bruce to go to their sanctuary in Eire (across the border-he is currenly held in kennels in Northern Ireland) with conditions. I don't know how many of you know about Bruce's plight in NI. I got involved fairly early on and today I got the phone call I never thought I would get: the judge ordered that Bruce is to be released into my custody!!!!! It is stated in the last link, the facebook link, that there is some stipulation that he is not to be released to his owners even if they shift across the border to RoI. Shame, but at least he is finally being released. Hope he has a great life now.

I noticed him on that site as well Kirty. Sorry, I can't help you with anything you have asked. They often seem to have English Pointers up on their site for adoption. Have you noticed that? I find it strange, because I wouldn't have thought that they were very common. Just thought I would ask, because when I saw this dog earlier today, I was thinking about it. I received a response from Christine Fyffe today regarding the Bill. Others probably received the same email. At least the Liberals have answered. I have received no response from any Labor MP as yet. As she stated in her email, "I strongly encourage you to raise any questions you may have with you own State Member. If you are unsure who that is, you can log on to the VEC website and search electorates based on your postcode. The VEC website is found at www.vec.vic.gov.au " So, I intend to do just that. Bills can be amended in the Upper House. Even though the Lib/Nationals have said they will not oppose the Bill, who knows, may be there is a chance to get some things changed. I intend to write to various members with more questions and good arguments, with facts to back things up.
