Rotts, that is so funny!!!!! You couldn't even be mad when you saw it happen cause who knew they could be that devious and clever????

I think i am extending my electric fence!! My brat, aka hunta, always pulls my clothes off. She doesn;t chew either but washing teh same pair of pants gets annoying. I have had chilli and garlic on the line in stockings for 6 weeks. Does not touch them. Does not even look at the line unless we have washing on it.

I have just changed my 3 to Eagle Pack Holistic Chicken I have had them on Nutro for nearly a year, but they have gone off it the last bag (it also had a strong plasticy smell when it came out of the bag) so after many a discussion with those in the know i have opted for the holistic. I will see how it goes and make my mind up after a bag or two.

Well said. My other advice is if she wakes and cries and she has just been to the loo, squirt her with water. I did it if my pup woke me and did not need to go to the loo or just cried. 2 nights and problem solved. No waking and no accidents.

Mitchi got 3 meals a day until 6 months. barker had it till then too. Hunta has 2 meals a day and had since 14 weeks. If we are home during the day she gets a third one but most days not. They have a chicken frame in the morning, and at night Nutro, yoghurt and either meat or sardines. Never had an issue, growing well and are very healthy. I think it depends on the dog. Some will eat 3 times a day some not. I thin kMitch can nearly go to once a day as she is not really interested in twice a day.

Ziwipeak is great. I have about 4 or 5 cans in my pantry for something different for the kids. I have the treats, they go insane for the treats. It is pretty expensive but because it is so concentrated it lasts. I am sure is was Sags who was saying that a small dog should only go through a small bag in a month. It really is that concentrated that they only need a small amoutn for all the nutrients that should have in a day. The canned food is the only canned stuff besides sardines that i feed my guys.

When i first heard of a prong collar, i was horrified. I saw Scope use one with Blitz and Kurt. They are great. I tried it on my arm, not painful, uncomfortable is you pulled against it. And with fur that thick i do not think, unless it was used incorrectly, that it would hurt the dog. They are a great iea if you are shown by a trained professional to show you how to correctly use it and your situation requires it.

Sorry just saw this. When i was at 4 paws last month they had bags of Omni Pro. I remembered the O and thought it was Orijen. Sorry

2 of mine have had runny poos. Only one had a mucous membrane around it. I will look at their food and reassess the beef i think

I too have never had an issue getting my Nutro from the supplier on DOL. I got my samples within 1-2weeks and my order soon after. I know things go missing in the post, so maybe that is the reason becasue i have NEVER had any issues with contacting the supplier or getting my food through to my home in Melbourne. In fact they went out of their way to help me get Hairball formula Cat dry food for my cats as the Melbourne supplier did not have it. it was sent over specially from NZ for me. So i don;t think you can ask more than that. Maybe the supplier is ill and has not been able to do the normal things she would for the business but i would say more that it is not getting through to the post. Also if the supplier had sent a number of samples that have not arrived maybe they can't keep sending them. PM Sagitarrian, she is in Melbourne, maybe she can send some samples. I believe that NUTRO is an awesome food, my dogs look amazing - i get a lot of comments about their coats shine and how bright they are. Keep trying but maybe look to another supplier of Nutro and then go back. They could also be having suplly issues from the US.

Oh Shoey, i am so sorry. You are not having a good run at the moment.

There is nothing wrong with ANY food if your dog does well on it. If your dog is happy and healthy there is no reason why you shouldnt feed it and that goes for any food. There just seem to be alot of dogs that dont do well on Advance and Supercoat so they generally arent recommended. I want to give Kiwipeak a go, looks pretty good. My guys LOVE Ziwipeak! I have a few cans in the cupboard, they get one can between the 3 of them MAYBE once a week. as a treat. Teh dry food is super concentrated so you only need a bit and i think it was Sags who suggested that because of the price you just add a tiny bit for flavour. My guys go gaga over it! The treats are awesome, the cats LOVE it too.

Well i went to coles tonight and Tim must have been in before i got there!!! None left:cry: So my poor babies have to wait until they have more in before i can get some. I will go into pakenham tomorrow and try the big coles for some. I got some tuna in oil, a 450g can for $1.89 which will do the 3 of them, so about the same price maybe a little dearer but i can get a meal for the cats out of it too.

That is th ebrand i feed my 3. Have not had an issue with it. they all have great skina dn coats. hunta and barker having black are very glossy and shiny. I use them as they are 59c per pack

Um, NO! I would NOT give that power to anyone. Not my vet for sure. There is actually no way in hell i would let my vet do that. i personally think it may casue more issues. Do it yourself. Ultimately you would like your dog to accept that anyone can remove food however YOU should be the one to teach Laffi that NOT a stranger. JMO.

I just got 6 months supply of Advantage for Barker, Mitchi and Hunta it cost me $198.00 for 2 x 6month packs. Then i saw a web site that i could have got the 2 packs for $60.00 in total. I certainly will not be buying from my vet again. Not when i can save $140.00 on it. No way no how.

Get blood testas done. Losing weight when still eating etc is bad. Hope all is ok.

I use advocate. I don;t trust the tablet thing for fleas. Worms yes but fleas no. We get worm tablets with our advocate. Enough for the 3 dopgs to be treated every 3 months. I get 2 sizes of advocate, one for the JRT and the other for the other 2 as they are between 10 an d25 kg. We get worm tablets for each of them. Have had no fleas at all in 12 months, worms are taken care of as they have the droncit? tablets. I worm them for hytadid every 2-3 months. Hunta is being done monthly until she is 6months as i did this with the other 2 and have never had any problems with worms. i think it is half of one 6 of another. I don;t pat the dogs on the back of the neck for a couple of hours and then it is right. No itching, no oiliness, nothing. No fleas either. I have not seen one on any of my dogs - EVER.

Shoey, not very far. At young dogs level. So we need heaps of work but are willing to learn. Or are we not far along enough to join in? -
I am so sorry Shoey, you thought it may happen. Now she is with her sister.
