I spoke to the rep from Ziwipeak at 4 paws a couple of months ago. She feeds her lab and her beagle on it soley. Both the dehydrated and the canned. She feeds her 32kg lab 2scoops of the dry in the morning and 1/2 a can at night I think from =memory the 5kg bag has 44 scoops in it. So a bag would only last 3 weeks - so an expensive option but worth looking at if it will help Brock.

What about Ziwipeak? That is higher in fat isn;t it, easily digestable. But expensive. But it might work?

I am only 30 Pebbles and i remember that was what was done. My parents did that to all our dogs then put them outside. I don;t do it, but it did use tio be the norm

I wouldgo to all your neighbours and explain you have a new pup and that it will take a little time but you would apprecioate it if they let you know if they hear barking or ccarrying on. Crate train - best thing ever,. As for a name: Sprite, Sprtiz, Callie, Foxie.

Nutrience Derma does NOT have chicken fat. All lamb as i put Mitchell on it for her elimination diet.

I would say beware of people over the internet and strong views on food. Speak with your vet or their vet nurse team and come up with an option designed for your family and companions, some people have ended up really cynical about vets on here and they are letting that blind them of good advice. Good luck with your decision. SOrry but i disagree. I did my research before i go tmy dogs and after. I chose a super premium food, Nutro. I used ot feed science diet, they had a lot of poo - piles of it. 2-3 a day I now feed my dogs nutro, mince, yoghurt, sardines etc and they do 1 maybe 2 poos a day. To me that suggests that they are using most of what they are ingesting whereas with the SD they were not nad they ate more also. You would say to listen to your vet, you are a vet. When i first went to my vet they tried to get me to change over to Advance - it is a premium food yada yada yada. THey would not really listen that i had done my homeowrk adn knew what i was feeding was top quality. Once i explained that, they said they had not heard of it, but if i had researched etc that was fine. I did do my homework. A lot of it. I am stoked with my choice and after using a hills product i will not use one again.

My guys go through stages. Hunta did not really eat anything much for a week. Then she started to est with gusto. I removed it after 10 minutes., Gave it to her the next morning, remove again It works

I got one of the soft snooza pillows. No probs, no chewing. I also got from the $2.00 shop a bed and matt cost me about $15.00in total so if they destroyed it, no harm on my wallet. LJust in case but they have never been chewers of their beds. But it you can partition it so it fits the pup more securely that would be a great idea.

The best food for your dog is what your dogs does on. In saying that, i feed super premium foods to my guys Nutro, Nutrience and Ziwipeak. I look at it that i would not feed human kids maccas for every meal every day, so i will not do the same to my fur kids.

Chloe, what does your breeder say? My breeder said htat i should wait iuntil between 8-10 minths to get hunta speyed as her growing will be done. Her breed, hamilton stovare, does not usually come into season until 12-14 months old. I was under the impression that a lot of large breeds also came into season later. If it was me, i would personally wait until your pup is 10-12 months old due to the growth she will be doing, but it is up to you. Good luck, speka to your breeder.

I would try the antihistamine thing forst. Mitchi my jrt had an allergic reaction, bvet did injection nad cortisone na dsaid it was a food allergy. No, actually it is hayfever. Try antihistamine, sinc tab and omega 3 tbs forst for a month. Of no improve,ment them moive to the elimination diet. ziwipeak is great as it has no chicken products, apparently chicken can be the cause of the allergy frequently.

I use both. If the human grade is on special i will get it. I got a great deal on 4.2kg of 5star mince for $14.00 at coles. THey have to mark down their mince at night if it was packed in teh morning. So go to Coles at 8.30-9pm and check. It is their policy as they do not use preservitives and meat minced in the morning cannot be resold the next day.

I believe that the green dye is so that it is easily identified as pet mince. Personally i would go to a butcher and get minced frames. My BIL was telling me that at Coles, EVERYNIGHT, they have to mark down the mince that is marked am from that day. So if something is marked 10.30am and you are there at 8pm, they should have it marked down as they cannot legally/or by their standards. Check at your local coles, i know mine is doing it. And i got 4.2kg of PREMIUM mince for $14.00, instead of $22.00 So go to the supermarkets around 8.30pm-9pm and they should have marled down mince. I buy human mince or the um, it is in a purple bag with yellow writing(coles), or sometimes if they have nothing else Tucker Box? meat - it is diced or in steaks Hope i have helped.

Mitchi was a piggy too. I gave wings instead of necks until she chewed them or i held onto it. I think she may need another neck or 2. SHe may still be a bit hungry at lunch time. Or even a chicken frame - Mitch did well on them and she couldnt eat it quickly and would have a snooze cause she was tired after all that chewing. (I cut the frames in half so it was a better jrt size)

Poor Daisy. Hope she feels better after they are cleaned and you have medication for her - at a guess. Sje will be ok and when they are infection free you can start to desensitise her.

Maybe i should remove hte name of the vet. However i have found cardinia great. I also do not have 70kg dogs but i prefer them over main st. That is just my opinion though. I have never had the vet at either rough the dogs up. They have patted them and cuddled but never revved them up. Otherwise try the one on racecourse road.

Which vet do you go to? I find Sam McCurdy fantastic. I have taught My guys 'check'. Which means i can check their teeth or ears or feet. It has really helped with my guys. Other than that, can you treat him into letting the vet look??

Baby wipes are great for ears Husky. They work well and are easy. Maybe Daisy will go for them instead Hunts gets grubby ears and i use either ear cleaner or those sorbent wipes. (same as baby wipes)

I hope your boy is ok. Good luck. Have no idea what it could be, but i wouldn;t think it was food related more a bug or infection.

Poor Tucker!! You both must have been freaking out! Hope he is all ok. I am guessing your vet will make you monitor him and see if he has anymore then if he does they will probably suggest an MRI. Hope he is ok and has no more. ps. You 2 coming to Kepala??

Poor Love having that in his tummy. It certainly looks like it could have been causing irritation.

Woohoo!! He is doing it becuase youa re mean and moved him to NSW so he can;t go to Kepala!!! Give him a hug from us. Hope it has stopped for good.
