I used treats. Mitchi bit and scratched. But i treated her into letting me. She still does not like it but lets me do it. Similar to Kavik but i did it the quick way. Paw, treat. Paw clippers treat. Paw clipper clip nail treat then repeated for each nail but only did the paw treat and then clip and treat. Did it like that twice and she is fine

My thoughts are DONT GIVE IN. 2 of mine have carried on like prk chops for 2-3 nights. They got tough love, growled ata nd then ignored, praised when wuiet. I ended up on the 3rd night using a water pistol. (yes i know - not preferable) I had to squirt twice and no noise. They still love their crate.

THe people on DOL have been pretty good. I was feeding a super premium food that caused Daire to grow too quickly. He is now on a different food, and i have been advised that kelp and livamol is the way to go by breeders who have been breeding for many years I ummed annd aahed about changing his food to a food with less additives and good stuff for ages and caused him more pain. In feeding the kelp for a month i have noticed a HUGE improvement in his over all pigment. On his nose but also his coat. I am happy with it just wanted to know i was not giving too much. I have always agreed that a balanced diet should not need anything else. But in this case although he had a balanced and dgood diet he needed a boost and hte kelp has done that. Good luck with your pup. I am also going to be zincing his nose until it is all black.

What is that? Like a cream or powder? Thanks all for the help. The food i am feeding does not have all teh vits and mins listed. I am giving himi 1 a day from now on not 2. And will keep a close eye on him.

I have searched and came up with one thread- GSDLoverfound it - itsays toomuch kelp is bad but not how much is too much. I give my gsd pup 2 kelp tablets a day to improve his pigmentation as he still has some pink on his nose. It is darkening a lot and i think in another month or so it will be totally black. i just want to make sure he is not being overdosed. It is natures own brand. Thanks

I only give supplements to Daire. He gets a vitc, omega 3, zinc and kelp tablets each day. Kelp helps his pigment Vit c and omega 3 for his joints and Zinc for his skin. He is on Eagle Pack was Nutro. Will prob go back to Nutro when he is older. He gets yoghurt, egg, sardines mince etc varied in his diet. I do the supplements for his joints as he has had an injury, the kelp to darken his pigment as he has a pink bit on his nose. THe other 2 get zinc if they have a reaction to somethingin the garden

All i can say, is nothing you did or didn;t do caused it. It was not your fault - it was an accident. The good die young, and Max had brought so much joy, happiness and love to many.

Mitchi LOVES it, i mixed it with her other dry and she picks up a piece of food an dspits it out if it is not ziwipeak!! Hunta LOVEs it too. Take a can of the ziwipeak into your vet. See what he thinks then, i only say that cause it is not like other canned foods. Poor Brock must look like he is anorexic! Poor love. Give him a hug from Hunts.
