  6. carrying your pup wont stop a tick. You will prob need tick prevention but i am unsure what type. Risk, i would think snakes, tics, cattle etc But take her, have fun an d keep her safe.

  9. I have a suggestion. Take the dog to a vet chiro and get his back checked. Daire, aka Doodle for this very reason, had his penis out most of the time frfom about 13 weeks until after i saw a vet chiro at about 7mo If a dogs back is out it can put pressure on the penis causing it to be exposed Personally i dont think desexing will change it

  11. eye lash glue works but you need a lot of it the tear mender works better.
  12. Yep tape em up. At 6mo they should nearly be stopping movement so i would be either taping and or glueing. Good luck

  17. Thanks i has flava. Why did you get then done so early and not wait until after their first season? Was it for convenience sake? Were you advised to do it that way by anyone? with Mitchi i did it before hand as that is what we had always been told - get them speyed before their first season, my vet also said it With Hunta as her breed dont usually come into season until 12-14 i waited until she was 11.5months to get it done. Most of her growing was done anyway With Hunta because i had an entire male at home, my breeder and i came to the decision to get her done before she had a season With small dogs, they finish growing earlier so getting them done earlier shouldnt affect growing. Before i learnt what i have i would have always got them done before - because that is what you did and also i dont want a bitch in season at my place - too much hassle as far as i am concerned However if i got a bitch and she was not going to be shown and my breeder said to get her done before her first season, i probably would unless she was a large breed bitch
  18. Trish i have a remote control e collar that you can borrow if you like?
  19. bugger that. Erny i had a mind blank which is why i didnt refer to them as e collars.
  20. see i dont agree with thtat Leema, unless you are a breeder there is no reason to have an entire animal. it causes inconvenience and accidents can happen Arty, with my girls i have always done them just before their first seasons
  21. i think a lot of dogs should be tested that aren't In teh case of gsds, the ANKC needs to come into line with the GSDCA with its hipscaores as teh GSDCA is a lot lower than the ANKC requirements
  22. having recently been through this Tris, my suggestion would be for the 'shock' type Dogs can play without making noise, they can play with making a low level noise. i used them on Hunta and Daire for 2 weeks They play without being overly noisy now, it is lovely They still get excited but not as noisy
