  1. my sister is already there as she is camping on the grounds with her BC's we will be there in the morning :D
  2. In Vic it is against the law to have a dog loose out the front. the laws state all dogs must be either contained in a backyard behind fencing, if out the front they MUST be on Leash at all times So yes call the Ranger :) I have our bylaws ph no in my mobile
  3. we have Private Dodger Corprel Charlie Sargent Major it is 'cause each one have a certain no of patches on 1 side of their body (left side only, resembly Army stripes) I could suggest ALEGRA PHARLAP ( ok yes this is the racehorse, but he was bloody fast, & so are Whippy's )
  4. we have received our number for Sat :) we have only put 1 dog in show, she just needs a few points for her title of Aus Ch now looks like we have to pull out of Sun show :( thanks to a certain person giving me the wrong date for our club committee meeting. Not Happy Jan :mad Good luck to everybody who has entered :D
  5. I did meet up with Tassie it was a great day all round, poor Rally judges were swamped by us competitors, like bees to a honey pot   , wanting our passes after they handed out the 1st 3 places were done

  8. you can watch the previous two episodes on abc iview, I've watched them all that way, I always seem to be on the phone on Wednesday nights and just watched the SAfrican episode this morning. Interesting program. but on facebook there is a huge back last re the first episode at the Lost Dogs Home about how inappropriate it was to make the girl see a dog put down. Does anyone feel that there seems to be more badly behaved dogs because there are more badly behaved kids today, spoilt with no discipline and expected everything on a plate. Ok putting fire suit on. your not wrong about the firesuit going on Fairlea, you are right about the bloody brats these days. sorry but I bought my 2 legged kids up the old way "You want something, go out & work for it, you want respect, earn it"
  9. hey BB I agree, the brit was Full of himself that went with the Princess. Sometimes you do have to be cruel to be kind to get through these thickheaded kids :)
  10. I finally watched this show tonight showing 2 Brits going to South Africa & working with a Poaching tracking team. I really did think the boss was about to pack the Princess up & send her back home after 36hrs of being there. All she did was bitch about cleaning out the kennels & making sure the dogs had were fed & watered. But when they got out into the African bush & the boss got right into her face Wooo what a wake up call for her, she ended up doing ok being assertive & showing the dog she was boss. The young fella was a little over the top, but also had the matt pulled out from underneath him. I think it is quite a good show :D
  11. :cheer: :happydance: our Et Sash from GSDCV finaly arrived today, 4 months after the event, I hope eveybody else who took part who also didnt get their Sash on the day got theirs
  12. it would be great to meet you too Tassie :D, so you will be at Bairnsdale trial?? we will have our 1 of Whippets & 1 of our Paps in Obed & doing the triple Rally
  13. I think I will :D thank you Tassie, I am sort of pushing the physio. Yes I know not to over do it  I was raised in the bush so we were bought up tough & learnt to handle pain, as my step dad & my O/H says I am one tough cookie for my size (petite size)
  14. just wondering with Training Etiquette, you would think our furkids had learnt some it with the trialing we do on a I was with Nik (another Doler) at a trial yesterday, we had our dogs off leach zooming around having a ball, before the trials started, on our way back to the club rooms I was bulldozed by our 3 dogs from behind, poor girl was so shocked I can still see your expression, all she could say it was like watching a Classic Cartoon the way I went down, landing on my left hip. So I missed out on putting my 2 through their classes , fully understanding the club was concernd, off to hospital I went. When I got back to the grounds 2nd round of presentations were about to start. I on a good note No Broken hip, just a lot of muscle bruising & a bit of a limp  So Nik I do hope to catch up with you again soon, dont worry dogs will be dogs. I am still laughing about it
  15. oh geeesss our vet m/chipped our litter just after they were born. I had taken them in for their check up & was arranging to book them in to be chipped, the vet offered to do our boys there & then, those chips are still where he put them :) & that was just over 2yrs ago. So I don't see a problem having Toy breeds chipped, quite frankly don't matter the size of the dog, the law is the law Quite frankly I have gone to the extent of paying for chips done on dogs I have not owned for a couple of friends years ago. I insisted they have it done, they have been forever grateful as they lost their pooch within days the dog was returned. :D :D
  16. very interesting subject ok my greatuncles bred Bc"s for working on our properties, if they didn't meet the critirier, conformation & ability to work, they were sold off as pets (after being desexed) all our dogs are trained to work in one way or another, mostly Obedience, ET, Agility. Now who says a lapdog is just a lapdog, Lapdogs can work it is all up to the owner I know a couple of MIN Pins who have achieved their ET's. We have Pappies, our foundation Bitch now holds her ET tittle, 1st Pap in Aus to achieve this, she is also starting to compete in Rally-O & Obed trials :) her boys are not far behind her with their training. Now our Whippets, One whippy has a ET & a couple of Obed tittles, ok yes this is unusal for this breed, our other whippy is learning Obed & we will start her training for ET early next year. My stepfather had whippets when I was a Kid, he bred them for the what they originaly bred for, Racing & Rabbit hunting. The way I was bought up was if a dog can't earn its keep, its then place it in a pet home, Basicly if a dog is bred for a pecific purpose then use those ability to its highest point with keeping in mind conformation & staminar of that breed
  17. mmm good questions CC, I thought The rules are stipulated "ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES, ULESS IN OFFLEASH ENCLOSED AREA, OR UNDER TRIAL CONDITIONS, COMMAND FROM JUDGES" I think it is very inconciderate from the bystander to do such an act while the owner of the pup was training. I was watching a couple of ladys training for Rally from a distance at Kcc, I politely went up & asked if it was ok for me & my dog watch from a safe distance not to distract, they had said it was fine & could I help by being a distraction for one of their dogs. I was happy to help :D
  18. Hi Sue, I'm trying to sign up for the Rally O and jumping for this trial. Do you have a contact other than the PO Box for the obedience club? Cheers, Eileen Hi Ellen what would you like to know ???

  21. ok this is not a brag for any of my troop, but a friend of mine, Amanda has a Alaskan Malamute, Jasper is 31/2yrs, besides myself & our instructors at our club, have been really working hard to help Amanda & Jasper to Obedience trial standard, there was times where she damm near through the towel in. Well we can say Amanda & Jasper are now celebrating, Jasper finally got his Tittle of CCD :cheer: :happydance2: :happydance:
  22. no wine??? maybe if we get a couple of Rally Novice titles & that elusive 3rd pass for Novice title, yes I have decided who is going into what classes, just now have to fill out the entries & send them off
