  1. It might get those gorgeous little legs pumping flat out!! I told my friend that a Pap was training for the ET....her response - aww how cute - see it isn't only me :D Trina how do you give it to your doga nd how often? As a drink after the training run, with food each day etc??? love it, might have to try & get some one to video tape us & put it up here
  2. Thank you TrinaJ :D I will give my vets a call in the morning Am looking forward to Monday, having a couple more people to ride with
  3. Sorry PA if I sounded a bit off key asking about misshandling, please accept my appologies anyway on a better note, my boys do the same when they know its bed time they take off out the back door with mum & refuse to come in, we started playing the ignorance game with them :D , giving all the attention to Orlando & giving him the treats They all soon come in to get their share
  4. OSS do you want to know a secret how to get whippets to drop in the wet??? :D
  5. just asking cause I might start giving lectade to Malika, it might give her an extra boost :D
  6. Thank you for the offer of doing a group ride Ok count Orlando & me in :D me I like the gravel, not so keen on grass silly question where did you get the Lectade???
  7. vet visit done both Orlando & Malika have been given the all clear, our vet thinks our guys are in great shape, pads in good condition & he thinks Malika may have a chance at competing in ET at Sale if we keep up the pace me I think I will keep an open mind & I will take your advice Abbiestar "slow & steady wins the race"
  8. Hi Huski have you thought of getting a pair of riding boots from the local produce/saddlery store. I got a pair of rubber ones that come up to the knees. I find them hell of a lot better than gumbies :D the vid's are good
  9. Pannza Attack silly questiion has some one miss handled Scooter?? I know it dosen't take much for a small breed to become hand shy if not I wouldnt worry to much we have gone through that phaise with our boys. try it with 3 babies . All we did was just sit on the floor with a tub of shredded bacon or ham, had a handfull out in front of us, ignored the boys & let them came to us when they do let them eat & spoke to them with soft encourageble voice. :D I wouldn't use the clicker when Scooter is doing something he shouldn't be. We placed Teddy in a new home the other week & he went through the phaise of not eating much but he has his appetite back & so do our other boys. I gather you have one of those canvas type crates?? may I sujest in investing in a 24" metal crate or a airline type crate.
  10. Thank you OSS for your positive words makes me feel better :D I am going to try & get some one to take a pic of Malika strutting along side the bike so I can put up here
  11. Hey OSS "A Pap doing the ET would be the definition of cute!" Dont you mean "A major achievement" for the littlies, once we get her through there will be a celebration party happening. oh dont worry I will let everybody on Dolf know about it I feel bad reading how many k's everybody is walking, in a way cause I don't walk much & when I do its not far as I do have a medical cond, my doc's have said if I want to exersice riding a bike would be better for me
  12. well I suppose when you are raised with a Whippet you soon learn to pick up the speed to keep up
  13. Thamk you Zenith, I agree with RS :D we will take it on board, it will be particuarly good when our boys are old enough to start to take on extra activities. Sarge & Dodger are only 8 months old Mailka & Orlando love going out with the bike they go into physco moad
  14. Ooh murve, are you going to try and title Malika?? I want to do ET with Scooter in a couple of years but wasn't sure if Paps are too little to be able to do it... Good luck to everyone with their training! X Hi PA yep we are going to trial her for ET but I not sure if she will be ready this year, I might have a talk to the vets tomorrow, needle day for her & Orlando It takes longer to prep a small breed to compare to a larger breed, but if a Pug can get his title of ET we can Scooter will have to wait till after he has his 2nd b/day
  15. Good luck Nik, hope you do well. Love the pic's of Annie
  16. OOhh I do feel for the owner of the stock, we had stock stealling from outskirt farms happening here, we put Farm monortoring camera's in, the mongrels got caught. Just been chating to my partner as we do securiy camera's, he sujested Farm monortoring camera's ideal for paddocks Pm me and I will give you our ph. no. & you can pass it on to the farmer, Sandy (my partner)can chat further with him to help him to stop the stock loss
  17. Yeah for the owner! yep clobber the owner, can I stand in line?? I will supply the 4/2 piece of wood, can I put a couple of nails in it toooo. OOOOpppppsss that might be a bit exstream Yes every council has rules/regulations why cant these idiots agnolage them I'm on your side Sue & Cindy
  18. In ref to your neighbour OSS I sujest if they set up a camera system to catch the stays on film, this automatic goes to the computor, burn it to DVD & take it to the Council & cops to report the incedent. I personaly know how it feels loosing stock I worked in an abbotors we lost stock to stray dogs. We shot a large no. of dogs (back in the early 80's) the owners should be shot not the poor dogs. But yes I agree it is hard to find a place to train our babies, without putting up with offlease uncontrolable run aways makes me angry
  19. I just took Malika (our Papillon) out for her bike run, I think we did well this morning,we covered 3k at a speed of 9.5 - 10k's, she kept the pace well just broke a couple of times. Yes I did push her a little just to see how Malika would go, she pulled up great. What do you think Abbistar????. came back to a whinging whinning whippet, all because I left him home
  20. Thanks OSS the breeders gave him that name, so we left it at that oh yes Orlando suddenly found the erge or should I say I found the right button to push to get him to work the secret is my 8 month old Pappy boy, Sarge, :D every time I pay attention to Sarge, playing or training Orlando pays attention & starts doing everythingat a drop of the hat. We think there is a little bit of the green eyed monster showing here
  21. It's great to everybody is into gear & doing well :D We did 7k's on the bike this morning with the speed between 10-15k's not missing a beat , then off to club for Obedience training mind you Orlando is only at CCD level we got shoved into the higher class all work off lead. whoa hoa Orlando didnt put a paw out of place he even did change of postion, (never done that with him before), 3 min sit stay normally he breaks 1min sits, I'm over the moon he has started working in leaps & bounds hopely we will have 2 titles by the end of this year
  22. Check this out you will love it Ososwift
  23. OMG I'm starting to think Rommi & Orlando came from the same litter, my boy sounds very much like your girl. He dosen't like toys, I think I may found the button to push with Orlando to get him to train he dose not like it if I pay attention to our Pappy pups as I have been training them tooo Spare bed here if you decided to come east , Lewis & Rommi welcome too ;)
  24. OMG do you come over to Vic & train my boy you & Lewis puts Ollie & me to shame with our training , I have my footwork down pat but Ollie shows no interest most of the time he is not even interested in food when we train (even at home )
