A little brag here, Orlando managed to do a 3 min sit stay with dogs from another club & stayed put Orlando is only CCD level, the other dogs were near UD level, our club dicided to pull the pin due to the ground to slushy, so we trained with another club at kcc park
-
Hey TrinaJ was out at Kcc Park this morning for Obedience training, the gravel was fine, the grass was bloody slush underfoot we might find it a little hard pushing the bikes through, but I am still happy to go & train anyway
-
Oh yes joelle if my 7yr old grandaughter can do it, your master 8 can with gentleness, patience & perservience :D Good Luck
-
Whippets are great aound young kids, I have 2 grandkids 7yrs & 1month, my boy is so gentle, with training you need a lot of patience as they are a little harder :D if master 8 is quite & gentle with a lot of patience, that would be a great partnership. My 7 yr old grandaughter like to help train Orlando. The breed can be a litle clingy to one family member, Oh they love to sleep in the bed with their owner & take over

Hope this helps Sir Sniffalot :D Just read through the Rules of Conduct for ET here is it word for word The Willingness test consist of heeling forward a short distance, followed by a right about turn and continued heeling for a short distance before comingto a halt. It is not necessary for the dog to sit. The dog must show a willingness to remain with and obey the handler. The heeling is to be followed by a short recall, on or off lead. The judge shall keep in mind that this is a test of the dog's willingnes to work & obey the handler, not an obedience test. if the dog works off lead prior to the 20k's he then must repeat this test agian at the end.

Hi Murve, I recommend you invest in some good cycling gloves. they will be wind and cold resistant making the ride in this weather much more enjoyable. M thanks for the advise Oh yes I do agree even though I did have thermal gloves on
