I time it to get there about 6.30-- 7am the latest from Pakenham, so it takes me about 1 1/4 to get there at that time of the morning, I just hate coming home its Bl### dy peak hour on the freeway. last time we went it took 2 1/2 hrs to get home on the Mulgrave F/way well my furry dosent really have a lot of fur, he is a Whippet our other 3 babies are actually furry thank you & good luck to you & your babies :D

Hi Sariluda Pav 18 is indoors, under the same roof as Pav 19, the general public dont get let in till after 9am, one car park is right near gate 7 if you get in early enough, walking from the racecourse is about 5-10min. You might be lucky to have another show person help you sorry we wont be there on that day otherwise I would offer to help as I will only have 1 of my furries entered, he is the Obedience trials please correct me if I might be wrong on the general public & parking

With parking at the Racecourse you walk to towards the showgrounds, go under the Railway line, turn right then go through the gates & you are then in the showgrounds, when you get to the end of the buildings look to your left & you will see the rings & shed we then just went up to gate 7 & got marked off,:D

We are doing the easy way, parking in the Racecourse carpark & walk though, we did this the other year we went & I do know a couple of other ppl who do it to

we had one around horses when I was young. never a prob, also depends how bomb proof are the horses if a whippet is bought up not to chase they wont, I have friend who has chooks & a couple of Whipps, they are fine she has taught them not to chase. If they taught from day 1 & you stay on top it should be ok oh make sure you have a good recall with them. I have had situation where my boy escaped from my daughter at Kcc park car park , he went flying past me( I was at our club rooms), then we spotted a loose shepherd that was comming straight for him, I didnt chase, i just call "Come" he did a 180 on his hind legs & came straight back to me :D What a recall that was, it stunned the instructors & a couple of members

I do agree if it is not done properly it looks ugly, in particular when in a trial our About turns, Right ( U turns) about is good, Left abouts Orlando is off with fairies when it come to his rear end , so we do pivots also was known as the military turn funny thing when we do about turns on lead he goes a little wide, Off lead he is like Velcro, go figure, I dont know why he is like that, but I dont care he is really working well now & pulling his act together. Orlando does work better Off lead :D
