Its a shame you cant get over our way PA, for a day , we could help you with Scooter, as you know having Paps & we are training them for Obed Trials :D yes it is fun going from knee high to ankle size With SFE try standing in front of Scoot withh food & get some one too walk from your right or left side to him, while you are giving him food & telling him he is a good boy repeating Stand, Stay , get the person to run their hands down his back, (they are not to speak), then they walk backwards a few steps. you praise him up big time. :D I am looking at coming over your way maybe around early next month, we could meet up. ok ppl's disregard the link I have here, I have found where my missing video's are from Ballarat trial that got us the 3rd & winning pass for CCD :D they are still on a comp at the Uni my daughter attends she has told me I should have them by the weekend :D So as as I get them I will put them up here :D

Hi Elise & Hudson here is the link to the ANKC site, scroll down to Obedience, click on it to open it, it is all broken down for the different classes from CCD to UDX plus all the rules etc http://www.ankc.org.au/Rules.aspx I have been in a class that had 7 month old Schnausher competing, sit stay & drop stays are done off lead plus the recall & yes you do walk away, Recall best to have your hand in front of your body, Sit & drop stays best to walk away & keep your hands around your back, the rest of CCD is done on lead

Well we didnt get a pass at the Royal, we got 3rd place in CCD, but we had fun & left a few ppl gob smacked at seeing a Whippet do Obedience Now our goals are for next year 2012 Orlando -- CD Sarge -- CCD Malika -- CCD, ET this will be fun having 2 in CCD class oh I am a gluten for punishment

Quite right Tassie I really enjoyed doing the ET this year, I am a gluten for punishment by going back next year & the year after, then all our guys will have their ET's :laugh: we will be starting our Pappy bitch training round about Feb next year, her being little will need more time to prep her :D

PME when we did it earlier this year with our Whippet, we covered 8k's 1st leg, then 2 lots of 6k's at a speed of about 10-11k's total time including vets checks about 21/2 hrs. Correct me if I am wrong Abbistar We did ours with the Hungarian Vizsla Club , that was held at Kcc Park, we will back next year with our Pappy Bitch, she missed out this year, came into season 3 weeks early , our 2 young boys just miss out next year so they have to wait till 2013

Well done Murve in very tough conditions. I have to say there is no need for a judge to go out of their way to make it hard for CCD dogs and at the Royal too Is this your title? We got our CCD title 2 weeks ago at Ballaarat Trials, so yesterday was for the hell of it & have fun , we had nothing to loose. it actually surprised a few ppl that a Whippet could do Obedience even the judge The open class was done after lunch & they were given the option of choosing which end for Recall, all the other classes were done before lunch. A little birdie told me latter in the day, the judge got ticked off about not giving us morning competitors the choose in the Recall

Well we got 3rd place with a score of 71/100 after a countback, at the Melb Royal yesterday, most of us competitors floped on the recall cause the judge had the dogs come towards the crowd behind us hadlers we were not given a choose which end we wanted. 20 dogs entered, 16 dogs partcipated, dont know about the bitches, they are on today

Hi Amypie I got a Chillydog sweater for my boy his has the chest piece, I can take some pics of his & PM them to you :D here is the website, http://www.chillydogs.ca/ I chated to Julie a few times, asking questions, she was very nice & helpful before I got one, when it arrived I found a big difference in how Orlando worked, he was much better, no hessitation in his drops. Before the sweater arrived we were flat out getting this sort of score eg: 70/100, after the sweater arrived we did 5 trials bang 3 passes 91/100, 92/100, 94/100 CCD pass Orlando loves his sweater
