  4. Hi SS yea finally been added here I have been playing around with some names for if it helps Gallo (latin for Cocker) Murgallo Mur is from Murve, he was a strong devoted Rottie we had years ago, gallo I added on the following words all mean strong in latin, I just added Gallo onto the end & they are all under 12 letters, see what happens with Dogs Vic valensgallo potensgallo pollensgallo fortisgallo firmusgallo
  5. I do that, I must loosing it
  6. Yes in Vic it is now compulsory for all pets to be microchipped we had our pups microchiped within days of their birth, my vet asked us if we wanted it done like now :D or wait till they were a little older he already knew our feelings about chipping, all for it, he had jumped the gun & had the gear ready
  7. I wonder if this also apply to Obedience/ Agility, sports Trialers  Ok I have changed a few words but I think might also sum up sports trialers But I think it is great  it has just made me start thinking I must be near Stage 2 Stage 1 - You have early symptoms if Getting up at day break do some training before the heat sets in during summer You think that any show/trial within 100 miles in nearby You begin to enjoy getting up at 5 AM to walk and feed dogs You can't remember what it was like to have just one dog Doing only a couple of trails in 1 year then when finally get a pass you are sussing out the next trials Keep buying new equipment ( leads, collars, tuggy toys etc) even sports coats Stage 2 - You definitely have the disease if: Your most important factor when buying a car is how many crates you can fit in it When looking for a new home, the first thing you consider is how many dogs you can kennel on the property Your dog food bill is higher than your family's grocery bill You spend as much on veterinarians as you do on doctors You have no money because of show/trialing dogs You have to buy more than one vehicle a year, because you keep burning out the 7-year or 70,000 mile warranty going to shows/trialers You have more pictures of your dogs than of your family Your idea of a fun vacation is to hit the show/trial circuit Most of your conversations revolve around dogs
  8. & whats that goal Whitka??????????

  12. oh you poor thing Caffy yes I have coped a few clippings too but it has helped I must admit :D I do have a friend who is trialing too, but finds it a little hard to go to training sometimes due to her work she lives 21/2 hrs drive from me otherwise I could kick her in the ##@@@ & train with her when she is free to train :D
  13. I think I must be spoil I have 2 training partners :D my OH who has not trained dogs for about 15yrs, & is now getting back into it, he been to a few trials with us & found other trialers to be friendly & he enjoys himself, to the point he has decided his new pup will be doing trials dont know the breed yet my other training partner is from the club I am with, she is trialing her shelties, she is doing higher classes than us so this is great with her help

  17. Would you say Paps are naturally yappy ? and how are they generally around bigger dogs ?? I wouldnt say they are yappers but they will let you know if some one is at the door I have not yet met a yapper in Pappys, they can make a bit of noise when playing, but that is a happy sound :D Yes they are great with bigger dogs, my partner has a 10yr old Rottie, we also have a Whippet, ours also socialize at club with the larger dogs & are great, it is funny cause the larger ones actually lye down to play with the little ones at our Obedience club not just our guys but others in the club
  18. Thank you I just thought I should share it with all the Dolers just shows that there is ppl do have a heart & understand
  19. We have 3 Paps & yes they are the BC of the toys :D, great social furkids, love being around other furkids & ppl, I would recomend this breed for anyone who wants to do any doggy sports :D with a small dog we will have our 3 competing next year 2 in Obedience & 1 in Agility Paps only have a signal coat, they will need a regular groom in particular around the ears, tail feathers, pants on the back legs, just to keep them nice, I groom ours a couple of times a week & it only takes me about 15min for each dog, other than that they are great Oops being a little biesd here sorry, :D
  20. this was posted on my FB, I thought it might be worthy of being here, sorry if it is a bit long A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked ... down into the eyes of a little boy. "Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies." "Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "These puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money." The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. "I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?" "Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle. "Here, Dolly!" he called. Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse. Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up... "I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt. The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would." With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands." With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup. Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy. "How much?" asked the little boy... "No charge," answered the farmer, "There's no charge for love." The world is full of people who need someone who understands.
