I'm thinking it's her age too Kirislin, a year old is when they often seem to get phobias. My Dali was relatively normal til he was a year old lol. Now he's a neurotic mess that completely falls apart if he even sees a child. Hopefully Ms Neko can overcome her fears.

Parents State Dogs Responsible For Critical Injuries To Toddler

Yes I believe the child had multiple injuries, not consistent with being knocked over by a dog. Poor little man -

I'd LOVE a silken windhound.. Sigh -
OMG she's bulging with pups :) Go Nova! Can't wait to see pics of Laynee's pups :)

No no I an coming in here everyday hoping to see pics of healthy pups :) I'm excitedly waiting to see Nova's pups. Seeing others' strong healthy babies will reassure me that this was just one if those things and that many others are having healthy bubs and so will I (hopefully) next tine. It's hard not to be discouraged otherwise. I'm good and Nyx is getting better. She's eating a little now - only BBQ chicken of course lol. Plus a little ice cream. She's been sleeping with me and despite layers of towels beneath her I don't think my sheets will ever be the same as she's still oozing blood etc. Have one lot of sheets soaking and am hoping for the best. Wish I had thought to put old sheets on the bed lol.

Only 2 pups. First pup was massive and got stuck in birth canal. Vet got it out with forceps. Pup had died. The 2nd pup had strong heartbeat (had ultrasound) but then born dead.
-
What a nightmare. It all turned to shit. Pups born dead. My poor Nyx thank god she's ok. It's going to be hard for her not having any babies.
-
Thanks :) all going well this far, think we will have pups born soon

It's game on here :) won't be much longer

Nyx is the goddess of the night., I've also got Venus the goddess of love and I had a Luna the goddess of the moon .. Are we seeing a theme here yet? LOL. Nyxxy Is my foundation bitch so she's pretty special to me. She wasn't settling last night so I brought her into my bed around 3am. She settled immediately but I'm pretty sure she's in pain/discomfort poor baby. Hoping she might whelp tonight. Nova looks to have a bellyful of pups there!
-
Congrats bel, 7 live pups is a fantastic result. Nyx is finally slowing down a bit and her milk is coming in. Only a few days to go now. I will be relieved when it's over. I also get anxious when a girl is due to whelp. This is litter no.7 for me but it never gets any less stressful.

Wow Nova is looking round! Nyx yesterday
-
Today is day 53 from first mating and day 51 from 2nd mating. Nyx is round and eating 2-3 times her normal food for a day.
-
Less than 3 weeks to go now. Nyx is looking rather large for 6 weeks. She's eating double the food she normally does and is growly with the other dogs - but OTT smoochy with me.

Great! -
I noticed the difference when I first went from 2 dogs to 3. The extra dog made it feel like I had a lot more dogs. Now I have 10 so .. Lol. If I just wanted pets I would probably have 2 larger dogs and 2 iggies. I would feel odd having less than 4 now I think .

I can't ultrasound as I don't have that available here, but when I do a mating I always apply for time off work when the pups will be due. If she isn't in whelp I just cancel my leave. I almost always know by about week 4 if my girls are in whelp. Their behaviour, appearance and mood changes tell me.

My girl is looking round. She's 5 weeks now and it's easy to see she's pregnant.
-
Looks a bit like a strait jacket to me lol. Not sure how practical this shirt would be for anyone who works, 8 hrs+ is a long day for a dog not to relieve itself.
-
Thanks, not too much puppy dust lol 3 or 4 pups would be perfect :)

RIP Penny

I should also add that some dogs are obsessed. With digging. It's not a 'normal' digging issues. My golden girl has dug up and broken the water pipes twice, she dug into the sewer line and smashed it open one time. It's a compulsion, it's way beyond anything that more training or exercise will fix. You have to see it to believe it. I've come home and found she's dug thru compacted road base and dog wire and was about 3 ft down and 5 ft along digging a tunnel. There was a real danger of the tunnel collapsing and suffocating her. Karma is almost 9 yrs old and still digs like she's possessed. I've spent literally thousands modifying my yard to keep her safe and minimise the damage she does. My sewer and water lines are now concreted over so god help me if I need plumbing work done lol. Karma spends 95% of her time indoors when at home but she misses laying in the sun, hence my idea with the weldmesh.
