Ooh, I want to see that car! I have been looking at the Isuzu Dmax utes as I need a new towing vehicle for the horses but also need something to fit the dogs in. Since I can't afford it this year anyway I might have to get saving and hopefully this one will fit the bill better than a ute with solid canopy

Well done Emery :) I had fun doing absolutely nothing yesterday after spending Friday at a Showjumping competitin and then a dog show on Saturday LOL. Although seems the pregnant mares didn't appreciate a fox visiting them as there was one dead in their paddock

Phenylbutazone is an anti-inflammatory so it has the added effect of being a pain killer. I have never known it to be prescribed to dogs though only horses! For dosage call your vet if it isn't written on the label. Poor little man Hopefully he is better soon!

Looks good Emery :) After going to a horse show yesterday I am looking forward to having a dog show instead this coming weekend - they are so much less work

Thanks guys will look around at what there is. I was heading more towards a Canon but there are a few within my price range and I didn't know if any were significantly better for the price or to be avoided. Huga, my camera doesn't even want to take in focus still shots sometimes :p I am getting depressed seeing lovely photos then putting them onto the computer and the focus is slightly out

I have decided the time is nearly here for me to bite the bullet and invest in a decent digital SLR camera. I am sick of my old point and shoot which gives great shots except for the fact they aren't always in focus if the subject is moving I am looking for a camera that does decent movement shots of horses and dogs. Needs to have a good auto camera function as my Mum will use it occasionally and she finds it hard enough to get the whole animal in the frame without cutting feet or ears off without having to worry about focussing Plus when the ponies are bolting around I am not quick enough either :p So what do I buy? And what lenses are must haves? Budget is around $1500 and I will probably end up getting my brother to buy it in Singapore if I can get a better deal there LOL.

(((hugs))) Teebs. I am another who doesn't visit all areas of DOL but Atlas was well known and will be missed

Well done to all the rising stars :D I took some photos of Jive on Saturday since we had such lovely weather in WA and thought I would share :)
-
Well done JT! Hopefully Mason's eye is all better soon MG :) Ptolomy, what did they use the contact lens for? Corneal ulcers are reasonably common in horses and we just get to put drops in several times a day and on really bad ulcers we put a mesh fly net on with the affected side blocked to stop light getting in.

Aww, she is lovely I am sure she and your son will have a fantastic time together :)
-
Not good Ness MG, how very cool! CC, I assumed with her ears she wasn't a Cresty either  Don't Cresties have prick ears?
-
Cresties need grooming? Now there's something I wouldn't have guessed! Daisy isn't a Cresty ;) Look at the photos in CC's signature :D

Welcome Luvanrensburg :) RoxinHemi could probably answer your questions on showing Westies :) And more about the breed. I don't know much about them except RnH's are cute!
-
Good luck Ptolomy and Bedazzled Tassie, RS enjoys celebrating her 21st ;) Glad you had a good time RS, it was a fun night :)

We have all been very quiet again lately haven't we  I am hoping Jive finally manages to get to her first puppy agility class next week! So for week 1 I had a work meeting so couldn't attend, week 2 it was cancelled due to the weather... so 3rd time lucky??
-
Lots of big (((hugs))) to you Ness Hopefully Kenz will stop trying to see how much you love her soon and start improving!
-
Good timing Emery definitely :) We are currently hoping Jive isn't coming into season already... but would prefer that to her waiting until the Royal RnH, it is ACWA :)
-
Puppy 1 since Jive is only just 6 months :D However she has hit the teenager stage early Apparently I am not to be listened to anymore
-
I was sad to miss training with Jive last night Stupid work meetings! Will be there next week though :) Can someone PM me Deb Nook's contact details please :)

Mundaring is limited to 2 dogs on less than 5 acres, up to 4 dogs if over 5 acres and you can get permits for up to 6. Swan shire I think is 3 dogs on over 5 acres. I have a friend in Forrestfield who has got a permit for 4 dogs on a residential property and apparently he said he can get a permit for up to 6...

I usually tell them that the Lappies are generally good with kids even when not heavily socialised with them however they should never be left unsupervised with them as you never know what the kid may do. The kelpies can be a lot more high drive so it depends a lot on the age and training of both kids and dogs!

Have you ever managed to look at the photos you took of my ponies CC?
-
Lovely pictures I want to go herding Which dog is the Aussie? Am assuming the blue merle since you said she is mistaken for a Koolie but that dog doesn't look like any Aussies I know!
-
Yay for Kenz! That will certainly help her mentally as well :)

Happy birthday Gibbs :)
