  1. Well then Open for both dogs, UD for Ruby and RallyO for Millie unless you think she has a good shot at UD
  2. Bugger Whitka. What a pain not having a reliable car RS, I would probably do what Ness suggested :D
  3. I am sort of heading that way Ness. Might enter then when both dogs crash and burn at the Royal I might change my mind
  4. Alright I keep procrastinating and can't decide... Do I enter the State Obedience trial???? I am doing RallyO on Sunday with both Banjo and Varda - although Varda will probably be a write off given the weather forecast of 27C Entries for the States close on the Monday... I would be looking at doing RallyO with both dogs and CD with Varda at the States. I can't make decisions any more
  5. Send me your home address and I will put them in the mail tomorrow Emery :) You wanted Thursday x2 and another one didn't you?
  6. You buy only desexed pups? No I am sick and didn't proof read properly LOL. I show so no desexed dogs here until their main show or breeding career is over :)
  7. oops, hit the wrong button and now can't figure out how to delete LOL. Ignore me ;)
  8. 8 to 10 weeks for me. Mainly because I don't want to wait longer  I have no plans to buy an desexed dog either though. ETA: I would consider an older puppy if it was from a breeder I knew and trusted :)
  9. Jive is only 8 months Oso so I really don't think hers could be teeth ST, at this stage I really want to get his thyroid levels checked as red gums actually comes up as a symptom of hypoparathyroidism... and increased CK levels also come up as a hypothyroidism symptom (or heart attacks but I think we can rule that one out  ) I will also see if I can get him in to see Deb Nook... ETA: I actually don't think Banjo's is teeth either but I figure it doesn't hurt to try - except my wallet
  10. My dogs are starting to drive me insane Banjo decided 2 weeks ago that while he wanted to eat his biscuits he just looked at me pathetically and on checking his mouth out his gums were very red It took a few days for it to subside and didn't go away completely so I got the vet to check him out when out taking bloods from Dare after he was born. Bloods were also taken from Banjo and the results were a bit iffy. Nothing major but more things slightly off than you would like and a few that the pathology clinic put down to technical but could tie in with the other results! After chatting with the vet nothing seemed to fit but we have decided to get his teeth properly cleaned to see if it was a tartar problem (even though his teeth aren't that bad...) so he is booked in for that this Thursday. I will also get them to re-run the blood to see if anything has changed and also do a more in depth blood work as one of the things a few of the changes can suggest is thyroid issues. He has also been getting very grumpy with the other dogs and has had a go at Varda quite a few times this week (which has never happened before!) The main blood issues was increased CK level. The platelets and calcium were low and there was an issue with his glucose (decreased I think but can't remember 100% but there was a note that they could be technical... Then today Jive was eating a few mouthful of biscuits then whimpering and running away from them before going back and eating more (particularly if I stood next to her) She didn't end up finishing them either Her mouth looks fine and she happily ate a Dentastick... So any ideas on what is going wrong?!? They are on different biscuits ETA: After getting better Banjo's gums had a relapse of being very red and not wanting to eat at the beginning of last week as well...
  11. I thought you could all do with a smile :D
  12. I don't bring a chair :) We sit on the benches with the dogs LOL But we generally don't bother crating the dogs - they lie down tethered to the bench without and issue. Sometimes if we have young dogs we will bring a crate just in case but don't set it up unless needed (store it under the bench). We do have the trolley set up for grooming so if needed a dog can go in there ;) Depending on how big your group is there are usually lots of spare spaces in the pavillion as well ;)
  13. How many Emery and RS? I think I have 2 per day... I know I have 2 dogs in on the Sunday, 3 on the Thursday and 1 on the Saturday so how many passes does that give me??
  14. I can say from experience that it takes no time at all for a dog to eat rat bait! And the effects are not instant as it causes the animal to bleed to death internally What a piece of scum
  15. Lovely photos RS Lots of good vibes going Buddy's way Rach :) I have entry tickets for the Royal available for the Sunday (DWD & RallyO), Thursday (Working Dog judging) and the last Saturday (Agility) if anyone is interested LOL
  16. Mr Foal is now definitely called Dare :D Hopefully his official name will be Mirawee Night's Watch :) He is a pedigree mongrel  Dad is a German Riding Pony and Mum is a Warmblood x Arab x Australian Stock Horse :) The foal will be registered Part Arabian and Part Welsh though lol
  17. Welcome to WA Whitka :) Weasels, what day are you on for the herding demo? Is it on the Thursday? If so you will have to come and meet Jive and Banjo as they are showing that day :) Well I am officially ready for bed LOL. I had this little fellow keeping me awake last night ;) He was born at Midnight which meant I got little sleep beforehand... then took 2 hours before I gave up and helped him to his feet so he could drink. Then checked again at 4am to make sure he was still ok before waking up around 6.30 to check on him out the window before going back to bed until 8am (although not back to sleep) ROFL. I *think* his name will be Dare... Possibly Mirawee Nimbus or Mirawee Nights Watch for registered names.
  18. Oh and does anyone think that ACWA training will be on tonight?
  19. Pretty girl Maybe we should organise a DOLer herding day with Steph in Mandurah? I wouldn't mind trying Jive on sheep and Banjo always loves them
  20. Welcome Mashlee08 I think ST answered most of your questions :D
  21. We could send mares away and I did consider it as the mare I am currently waiting for is my "heart" horse (even if she is a bitch  ) but as Mum pointed out I would stress more if I couldn't check on her myself Also with 2 mares to foal it does end up costly as you need to send them at least a month prior to due date at around $40 a day then also pay around $600 for the foaling down service. I had to laugh as I bought a horse magazine today which had a "foaling pictorial" of what to look for when a mare foals. Included in it is the mare waxes up 14 hours prior to foaling... Diva has been waxed up for over a week I just hope tonight is not the night as I "have" to work tomorrow. Tomorrow night in the storms would be fine though as my boss can cover for me on Wednesday Although if everything is fine and it happens not too late at night then going to work isn't a problem anyway
  22. We will be back when they are 7 weeks ;) A better age for stealing
  23. Page 3 Well foal watch sucks... I am so tired and still no foal to show for it! Visiting puppies also sucks I want a fluffy puppy now! Four week old Lappies are too cute
  24. Well done again Emery on your girl's results :) I hate trying to figure out the right "weight" on show dogs I loved it the year at the Western Classic where one of the judges had been non-awarding overweight dogs... her comment to me about Banjo was that he would look better with more weight  And my agility friends were still telling me he needed to lose more Horse show? Pony was very good and got into the jump off for all three rounds coming 3rd in the 60cm, 4th in the 70cm and 6th in the 80cm (he took 2 rails in the jump off coz he was tired :p) Dog show? Arlo was BOB for both Open and Champ shows. Anikka was put on the grooming table then promptly put back into her crate as she had about the same amount of coat - or less!- than a Golden Retriever And Taavi was much better behaved than the last few shows and got rDCC and Junior of Breed (from 3 dogs) :) Oh and I think the fox was probably more scared than my mares  Diva is a bitch! Glad I didn't have a newbown/foaling mare though!
