  1. Double choc have white and milk choc chips So maybe I need to make white chocolate biscuits with choc chips (white and milk - just white could be a bit too much!) Hmm, does that mean I have just committed myself to cooking more biscuits for the Nationals? I am sure we can get OzJen's sister to make caramel slice too since I run her dog
  2. You're in the Nationals aren't you? Or coming to watch? I was going to try and make some real white choc and macadamia bickies (ie not use cocoa like I did since I was cooking so late ) I could always make a few without macadamias Although won't guarantee taste since I have to play with the recipe a bit to figure out substitutions for cocoa!
  3. We won't blame you... I think you were the only obedience person who didn't take a macadamia one though And I am about to have a bicky with my hot chocolate
  4. Good luck Ptolomy and Bedazzled I am sure you will wow them like you usually do And no problems about the bickies either I make lots then don't make them for a while as otherwise there is no way I could run lots of dogs in agility :p Although I did get told off for letting all you obedience people snaffle the macadamia ones :p But hey, I was the one who made them
  5. OzJen, once she realized we meant business she wasn't too bad... but I really hope we don't have a replay of last years State Champs since she hasn't pulled those stunts in a long time :p Maybe you need to get her back checked again too Thanks vCBR, I am pretty happy with my boy given he is still very immature and we have had a few issues to overcome along the way! Thus all the long breaks between shows for him. And he did it with mainly 8-10 point challenges as well
  6. Fairly good day for me Robi is now Ch Robi, getting the final two points he needed by taking out BOB at the Working Dog Show And Banjo got BOB as well with competition even - there were 3 kelpies there today (although one was only a baby) Not so good for Robs in the Spitz Show but the judges reasons were certainly valid so I can't complain ;) Then did some jumping practise with Jenna, Abbey and Banjo before going home (oh and Asha a bit too - another feral Aussie) and the two young ones (Banjo in particular) were the star of the class, Jenna and Abbey were naughty girls So who knows what will happen next Friday!
  7. Well I put the last cooled biscuit away over half an hour ago and now don't have the motivation to go to bed I think I cooked around 60 biscuits RubyStar... you can always come for a walk to the show ring - we aren't contagious or anything
  8. Not planning on opening the box of cookies until morning tea time so you have plenty of time to do housework before coming down And now I really should go and start cooking since I lost motivation after sitting down in front of the computer
  9. RnH, took me a minute to figure out who you were! Well done for today's results If anyone is going to be at the shows tomorrow I am about to go and cook some double choc chip cookies and also try and see if I can make some white chocolate and macadamia ones
  10. As a Finnish Lapphund owner I seriously could not imagine them doing any manwork ;) At most they would stand at a distance and bark But then a Finnish Lapphund is acually Suomenlapinkoira not Lapinkoira ETA: Maybe they just used Lapinkoira to specify either Finnish (Suomenlapinkoira) or Swedish (Ruotsinlapinkoira) Lapphunds? But since they are different breeds you would think they would be listed seperately - not that I think either could do Schutzhund :D
  11. Ptolomy, I would offer to show Cider except I don't know how many shows I will get to this year or if she would clash with my lot Although saying that, one of our puppy owners is now showing an interest in showing their boy so I guess if they decide to go ahead I am going to have to go down and help them at least to begin with Oh and I will be thinking of all of you going to tracking when I get up in the morning Although saying that I will still be getting up by 7am Jenni, how can you get ready to leave in 30 mins? Selling all the ponies and moving to suburbia is starting to sound better and better Although I guess then I miss out on seeing retrieving dogs without having to leave my own home Will be a good way to watch retrieving (and no I am not getting a gun dog!)
  12. I agree with what everyone else says But wanted to add, does he have a DOL profile? With males dogs you have the option of specifying if they are available at public stud. So once his health checks are done (and several can't be done until they are over a year old) then you can always opt to say yes. Then if people look him up to find out more they can see that it might be worth contacting you But most requests would be received by word of mouth Good luck showing him
  13. You guys are slack Being somewhere by 8am or even 7.30 isn't that hard Hey, I get to do that for showing, agility, stewarding duties.. and all those other things that are an hour from home And my last horse show started at 8am (so does the next one actually!) so that means getting there around 6am Hmm, maybe I should sell all the horses and move back to suburbia vCBR, we will have to organise something after the Nationals... way too busy up until then ;)
  14. vCBR, if you want to get Lincoln used to gunfire bring him to my place Will just have to make sure Dad is home and happy to do some shooting practise Tiggy, I haven't noticed a toilet And I park there to get the train every day! Have had some interesting conversations with the locals
  15. Oooh! When is Cider's first show? Wonder if it is a day I can come and be cheer squad 24th April Will be at a horse show Oh well, I am sure she will be a star
  16. Oooh! When is Cider's first show? Wonder if it is a day I can come and be cheer squad
  17. One of our WA forum members owns (I think ) Bobby Dazzlers Have only heard good reviews but my dogs don't get salon treatments so it isn't first hand
  18. They consider more than 6 weeks short notice? It only takes a week to organise xrays if that so really no one can complain about 6 weeks notice
  19. It isn't painful at all if you con your father into doing it I think I have enough cups for 5 more jumps now (or possibly 10?) Will need to finish making them
  20. Most of mine are non-WA bred dogs Only 2 of the 6 are WA bred and one of those we bred ourselves... my next dog will be non-WA bred as well
  21. Ozzie is very cute - love his colour I am not anti-cross breeds, I am anti breeders who don't health test, that includes cross breeds and purebreds
  22. Welcome DoodleBliss Any pictures of Ozzie? What breed is he? Perth Training and Obedience Dog Club trains on Wednesday nights at Raphael Park in Vic Park http://www.perthtraining.webs.com/
  23. Lovely photo vCBR I have just had a massive thunderstorm go over here and looking at the radar and the clouds outside there is more to come I don't do lightning So I am being a woose and not going to training tonight... not that I think it will hit Canning Vale, but I don't really want to drive in it up this way. So much for practise for the States and Nationals (sorry OzJen - bring Jenna down on Sunday and hopefully it won't rain/thunder then!)
  24. Bedazzledx2, I really don't think I classify as a better handler Just a sillier one to run 4 dogs How is your kelpie hunt coming? I have been informed that I am having pick red/tan bitch from a show lines litter coming up later this year (red/tan bitch x black/tan dog) :D Would love to but will see what happens closer to the time OzJen, Jenna isn't feral any more... she is just noisy ;) She and Brooky are the perfect couple, although both are so busy talking they would never listen to the other
  25. Brilliant way to finish off a Grand Congratulations
