Well we have a month to figure it out ;) Taking one car sounds more sensible than us all driving that distance! wanna pick me up too on ur way thru LOL! Sure why not Are you taking any dogs? I have to admit that unless I had no other choice horse is not on the menu at my house either... the dogs might get the wrong idea and start self serving

Yeah that's fine. Showing is so boring on your own! So I am glad agility is on at the same time. I will chack in K9 tonight wat time the show starts and I have to be there at least a half hour before (for once can't they go reverse alphabetical ) cause I am first in for Gundogs. vCBR, you are doing Wanneroo aren't you? Sit with us I would even offer to pick you up since I have to detour to Koongamia to pick up the Pointer (and his owner LOL) but I wonder if we can fit everyone in the car (Pointer in crate in back, Pony on back seat with you?) Hmm Mirawee you may just be on! You can always bring a float for Pony I do have a dog trailer If the boys would cope that is. Will talk to Peter as well and see what he thinks :D

Kenz is very cute You can see Spryte in her OzJen, love Jasper's video. My only suggestion is to make sure that you seperate "back" and "turn" Don't always do them one after each other
-
Well I was going to say a typical speedy Winpara dogs, but I know that Robyn is good at slowing them down
-
Where are you in Perth? I could lend you a crate for a while to see if it helps...
-
I agree, training lower doesn't encourage good jumping. Ness, I am assuming Kenz is a typical speedy 400 Winpara dog If that is the case it isn't uncommon for them to jump flat when they jump lower thus taking bars! I know Simone put a lot of effort into Sprite to make sure she wasn't the bar dropper Raven was! Kelpie kisses are magical Would be nice if they could grant wishes as well since Banjo is so free with them I have been teaching him an extended nose touch and at this stage it is more of an extended kiss session

I might have to set that same challenge with my Banjo :D , I did enter him in the WC this year but scratched him because we weren't ready and we still haven't trialled . Varda was entered in her first obedience trial in about 2007 then came into season so was scratched... and she still hasn't trialled :D There's my little man, what a clever cookie he is, but he's getting so big Are you at the sgility trial this weekend? I will have to watch the video at home tonight No agility trials for the Aussies until the 13th November LR, Varda had passed the rock prior to going to the vet yesterday apparently Maybe that is why she woke me up at 2.30am! Slept all night last night though and only grumbles this morning not screams
-
Poor Wandy. Banjo sends Kelpie Kisses I am actually happy that when I picked Varda up again today we got pain meds! We didn't get any yesterday :p I have set Banjo and I the challenge of being ready for CCD by the Western Classic So we have 4 months to get it all together and I am sure we will need every minute of that time
-
(((hugs))) After having several nights broken sleep due to a sick dog I think I would be driven insane if it was for a reason I didn't know! Can you crate him at night? That is what I would do but mine are crate trained already.

Cheapest Flight Options For Dogs?
mirawee replied to blackbirdblue's topic in General Dog Discussion
We have flown several pups out from Perth or too Perth to various other states and it is around $250 through JetPets (and they have always been cheaper than Dogtainers for us too). Do not book direct through AAE unless you are on the flight. They tend to underquote then when you rock up you get slugged an extra couple of hundred dollars because they quote on the smaller size crates -
The only time my CR parcel wasn't opened was for Banjo's cool coat, the quarantine dogs must have thought that smelt boring . My first CR order was a harness and a book... it was still opened by quarantine :D I got my CR order today too (opened by quarantine ;) ) but haven't opened it myself yet :p It takes me just under an hour to get to Canine. The issue for me is more that it takes me 1.5 hours to get home from work first and then I have horses to feed so if I want to get to training on time I need to leave work soon after 2pm (note to OzJen if you read this - I won't be there tonight have stuff to do at work that has to be finished today plus need to pick Varda up from vet - will ring later) Needless to say I feel demotivated by that effort regularly However contact Bedazzled Am really enjoying my lessons with her We work on lots of little things and if I don't understand she spells it out really slowly :p Plus I get homework so have to be motivated in between lessons. Saying that I have only had 2 lessons so far and can't have another one for a couple more weeks due to work

The bones I can understand... it is the rocks that have me shaking my head Varda is back at the vet today as she is still not a happy puppy. If I was at home I would just keep an eye on her but since she would be left alone for 8+ hours I decided I would relax more if I knew the vet was keeping an eye on her Mum dropped her off for me and apparently she was not impressed at all about having a second day at the vet ;)
-
Varda is home but still not happy. Will watch her tomorrow and if not better she is to go back to the vet on Wednesday. There is still one big rock that should be out within 24 hours and a fairly large bone fragment still in her stomach Yay Well done to you both WX, have fun with whatever you are doing for the next 8 weeks :D

Depends on which vet I use for the horse stuff I have one I use that is much more expensive but are also much better for non-routine stuff. That is the problem with having so many animals... lots to decide they need a visit from the vet And for some reason it always seems to go in waves. Things really do tend to come in threes... or at multiples anyway. And then she decides to get her post count up by double posting the same reply I figure they do it to see how much I really love them ;) Luckily Mum is coming with me to Melbourne and I know she will buy stuff for the horses too even though she doesn't ride And I have been cutting down on pony numbers which at least gives me some spending money as long as no one else decides they require vet cuddles! No further updates as I have been busy getting a headache from an 18 month old... and Mum isn't answering her phone!
-
I have come to the conclusion that my animals don't want me to have any money when I go away in November Varda has spent the day at the vets since she has enjoyed screaming (not yelping ) whenever she tries to do a poo. Still bright and happy and wanting food but very constipated. Well turns out when has dug up something dead and eaten lots of bones and rocks She is a smart one is Varda Tell you what though for a dog with a lot of crap backed up in her stomach she saw a bit of dried liver that a previous dog hadn't wanted to eat and she launched at it (luckily I am quicker than her) And have just heard that she still has more to pass so likely will be spending the night at the vet Although on another note I love my vets... unless something changes and she requires surgery total of my bill for both my after hours horsey callout and this visit are well under a grand Money I would prefer to spend on other things though

Tiggy, I love all your Shimi photos You are very lucky to get so many! Emery, my guess is 11 7 boys 4 girls Love all your photos from the birthday party too Trixie does not look happy in her party hat though

RS, I am unlikely to ever own a group 3 dog as much as there are a few breeds in the group I really like. It is too stressful having dogs showing in different groups. I don't mind showing in any group for someone else particularly when I am not showing any of my own Show is on Sat 27th Nov at the Wanneroo Ag Show. I still need to confirm if pup will be there Wolf looks great :D
-
No not at all, just didn't see you as someone wanting to handle a Lab! ;) Yeah, well, my dogs are reject show dogs atm so may as well change Groups And friend asked if I could show his dog ;) Might go for a play with the Lab puppy before the show though if it is entered... I might not be any good at handling it (And Lab puppy is "it" as I have no idea if I what sex puppy I may be given )
-
Are you implying I can't handle a Lab? The Pet Chef is in Midland. No idea if they do deliveries although they do have a van.
-
Oooh showing what breed? An adult Pointer who belongs to a friend and possibly a baby Lab Love the Christmas collars too!
-
I will be at Wanneroo I am taking a walk on the wild side in Group 3!
-
Happy birthday Milliemoo Unfortunately I will have to miss out on the birthday lunch

My Mum saw the birds and said they are too nice for the dogs... so my latest order contains one for her Will be interesting to see how quickly Asha steals it from her
