Well if that happened and the dog had previously had a vasectomy a trip to the vet could reverse it and hey presto, puppy time ;) And no, a dog with a vasectomy or who was naturally sterile could not compete in neuter classes as male dogs in neuter classes shouldn't have testes ;)

If there are two people from the same family who live together then yes they should only pay the $50. They also pay light money for each person each week that they attend. Light money is usually between $2 and $5 depending on the club.

Remember you have to put in a list of around 10 names (from memory) and even then they are all likely to be rejected and you will need to submit more. :p So make sure that you don't mind any of the names you put in, otherwise you are guaranteed to get given the name that you don't really like and just put in to make up numbers Can you give us your childrens first names? And animals?

If you want to look at alerts to find out the current information FESA is releasing go here: https://internet.fesa.wa.gov.au/alerts/Pages/Alerts.aspx ETA: A quick summary is that all fire aside from Roleystone and Brigadoon are either contained or controlled (or both LOL) but people in the areas (Ferndale, Jarrahdale, Upper Chittering and Coorow) should still remain vigiliant because of the wind. Roleystone and Brigadoon fires are neither contained nor controlled
-
The Brigadoon fire is still going too. It seems to have gone up to the quarry atm although other streets were put on alert again.
-
Yay Big congratulations to all
-
Crap, and now there is a FESA alert for Chittering as well! Oh and it is my friend's Mum who is injured.
-
Unfortunately quite a few houses look like they have been lost in the Roleystone fire Hopefully they can get them under control now! Three fires are now going in the Perth "metro" area - Roleystone, Herne Hill/Brigadoon and Ferndale Then also the one in Coorow. A firefighter has also been injured in one of the fires Hopefully everyone stays safe and the fires can be got under control soon! ETA: I just found out that the firefighter that was injured (run over by a fire truck) is the mother of one of my horse friends

Sounds like a Kelpie I don't notice much difference between 3 and 4 dogs :D

Poor Trixie Hope she is better soon I like Whippets but don't think I would get one just because of my lifestyle LOL. You will find Whippets at pretty well any show as they are quite a popular show breed. For meat, go and ask your butcher. We have a butcher near Swan Districts that gives free boxes of bones (offcuts) for the dogs

Happy Birthday OSoSwift

I just went to the website and I have to say it made me sad coz the first thing I saw was "Today's the day! First day snaps". Somehow I don't think many kids will be going to school

Don't buy things from vets LOL. Go to a stock feed place There are several around Canning Vale

My Dad gets the blame for the rat bait and leaving the gate open... the pest controller just gets the blame for trying to dehydrate my ponies! The other thing I found out today is that Vitamin K tablets are not cheap! 2 weeks supply is just over $50 a dog Who would have thought a vitamin could be so expensive - but then my dogs are getting around 500 x the daily dose that you get in a human Vitamin K tablet ETA: And at least I only had 1 consult fee for the three dogs - after hours consult was $140. This is turning out to be an expensive pest control visit

We really seem to be having a bad run on here! I agree completely Much better to see a slightly sad dog for a few days than a very sad dog for longer as they have damaged themself more. My guys are still ok atm. You will know if they start having issues but I don't see the point in updating when we are at status quo LOL. Hopefully I won't need to update you for two weeks when they have their blood tests done!
-
Gentle ((hugs)) to Trixie. She obviously doesn't want to go to school I won't be there again tonight, just coz I want to keep an eye on my dogs (I will be a lot less stressed after a week!) Hopefully we can all be there next week!

Lots of safe thoughts being sent to everyone in Qld One of my puppies lives in Cairns (well he is 18 months now LOL)
-
Welcome Teresadn88 I can't wait until you have your puppy and can post pictures as I would imagine a Bichon pup would be seriously cute!
-
Easy then, if they are sure they only want a cross bred tell them to look in the pound/rescue
-
That's coz it is too hot Although better today ;)
-
At least the drizzle has cooled it down a bit :D My guys are still fine at the moment :D They all got washed yesterday which probably wasn't the best thing to do when I should be keeping them quiet - wet dog zoomies are fun Have warned them at work that if any of my dogs start showing signs I will be rushing them to the vet so they will have to cover my patient but fingers crossed I won't have to skip work. Foal is much happier now she is back out in the paddock and no longer being jabbed with needles Glad to hear Daisy is still going well
-
Thanks for the notice. I sent x-rays in last week Hopefully he is better soon :D
-
No broken mirrors and nobody at all run over! I was meant to go and see a purebred arab filly who is for sale today but I decided all this was telling me now is not the time to buy a new horse!

Page 2 Well I think it has been a crappy beginning of the year for a lot of us DOLers I had a "great" day yesterday. Went out in the morning and found that one of my foals had injured herself in the lightning storm on Thursday night. So the vet came out for her and she now has a bandaged leg and needs injections or antibiotics for the next couple of days. Then yesterday late afternoon Dad rang to find out when I needed him to come hold the foal for her next injection and asked me to bring the rat bait he had left on my kitchen table when the pest controller had come the day before Needless to say, there was no bait left as my counter-surfing Kelpie Kinta had removed it from the table So all three dogs off to the vets and they have started Vitamin K treatment. All seem fine atm although Banjo is really flat again, but then that started prior to him eating bait :p I now have 2 weeks to wait until they have blood tests but likely they will be on the tablets for longer than that - luckily they like the taste of them and eat them as treats. Then this morning two of my horses were acting strangely and one in particular looked very tucked up - went and checked their water trough and it was bone dry! F#&$ing pest controller had turned their water off (it is a auto waterer) So they went all yesterday with no water ;) Apparently Dad had asked if he needed water and he said no. Then he went and helped himself later on and even though he would have had to flick switches to get the water to work (it is a dual tap line) he didn't seem to think he needed to same to turn it off and turned it off at the tap instead! So needless to say if Dad ever organises a pest controller for a day I am not there I will be taking the day off work! In the course of one day they 1) Let my dogs out to roam 2) Gave my dogs access to rat bait which they ate and 3) Cut off water to my horses so they ended up mildly dehydrated! If anything more goes wrong I will go to bed and pull the covers over my head
