Remind her how much it will cost for vaccination/sterilisation/worming etc and since they are usually more than a rescue dog tell her to consider rescue. Otherwise there are often adult GSD free or cheap who are already vacs and sterilised Just remind her that they can come with their own baggage though. I doubt she would find a free GSD pup anywhere though as even BYB don't just give them away. Well they managed to get one GSD to 14yo. They can't be doing too badly ;)

Temp is up a bit for him (38.9C) and gums are a bit pale. Looking closer you might be right. HYPP they can't have any copies of the defective gene and be registered but HERDA you can. The fact that they will register progency means that the clone WILL be registered - just not eligible for competition. Otherwise how does the society control the registration of progeny?

The clones/progeny of the clones are not allowed to be registered in America last I heard. But Aust QHA have decided that the progeny can bee registered in their infinite wisdom. Of course the biggest thing most QH people have is that he is a HERDA carrier - and I am fairly sure under the current regulations of the society he actually would not be eligible for Aust QHA registration as an import due to that. If anyone can correct me please do

You can do NFC once she has her JDO title - but you have to hold the title of the class you want to go NFC in :p However you then can't enter any other classes competitively so it wouldn't make much of a difference ;) Maybe RV could get Jenna's last AD leg Although I think the only trial we are going to is the ACWA one and I need to confirm with J and OzJen.

RS, in an ANKC trial dogs are only allowed to go NFC or to compete - they can't do both. RV, big hugs to Toby! Wonder when all this madness will stop!
