Ptolomy, would she be up to a play date with a Lappy? We are trying to teach Arlo to collect at the moment as we have someone over East who wants chilled semen and he is finding it difficult to perform "in public" after being told off for humping previously Would be happy to pay petrol for you to bring her to Applecross vet :D The offer is open to anyone else with in season bitches too

Yay, go Uno :) Thanks for the update

I was thinking the same thing MG LOL. Fetchindawgs, not sure what happened but after you asked I got two other emails about the job too  So have someone coming out this afternoon :D Well after a fairly up and down week I am now happy again

There are shows on the 17th and 18th March - entries close on Monday. Then a split show over the 23&25th March (Contest of Winners is on the 24th). Another split show 30/31 March. Seperate shows on the 8th & 9th April and then we go to specialty shows. I don't have my Canine News at work but would be happy to scan the schedules in when I get home :) What breed does she have?

A dog is not a toy :) A 4yo is well able to understand how to treat a dog with respect if they are taught. What would you do if he came and jumped on your stomach particularly if you had just had major abdominal surgery?

Well done :) It is always great to win Groups and Babies are so hard as they are all so cute :D

Well done to Katie P and KR on your great results Lani is certainly having a great year in the show ring KR - now she just needs to make sure to have no more vet visits ;) Flaves, your new girl is gorgeous Is she a long coat? LizT, Emmmalee is lovely and so tiny compared to the last few photos posted :D

OK similar amount of sleep then :D I was in bed around 11 or so as was team penning Saturday night. Alarm went off at 3am just took 30 mins to get the energy to get up :p Was in bed by 10.30 last night though and got to sleep in until 6am

How slack... we were up at 3.30am And then had a Nanna nap that afternoon ;) Did you buy from a dealer? RS, I hope you have a great holiday. If you need to wash clothes that is obviously a sign that you should just buy some while you are away Hopefully the antibiotics will fix Ruby up quick smart :)

Bugger MG, that is a huge expense to suddenly have foisted on you

No, still interested in finding someone. It isn't too hard for us to do it ourselves in summer but it is dark by the time we are home in winter... You know someone who may be interested?

Wow! I might have to make the trip to Bunbury some time :) Although it was bad enough driving to Baldivis yesterday morning with the horses and getting there around 6.30am

Well done Emery :)

Brilliant news RS :) After my last couple of experiences with anaesthetics I am a lot more wary of them than I used to be. Aria - the Lappy we bred who lives in Qld took 2 days to be able to walk after having anaesthetic recently and another few days before she was back to normal When Boots was desexed they said they gave him a very light dose only as he was reacting to it very fast (glad my vets are on the ball and titrate the dose!)...

I so shouldn't have looked in here... have now placed an order with Peperone

Lowenhart can you please tell me what VWW10 signifies? :) I love finding out what some of the stuff actually means
-
Good luck to Millie! They don't need to shave to use an IV drip... or at least they don't on my Lappies or Kelpies!

Imagine if you wrote all that on your entry form  I was under the impression that the only thing allowed to be added to your dog's name were official titles. Am I wrong about that? Isn't everything else just results not the dogs name or title?

Wow I'm sorry and will remember not to celebrate if my dog gets a RUBIS - it did get beaten after all. What happened to just letting people enjoy their wins?! It's called good sportsmanship. But do you need to celebrate by putting it as part of your dog's name? I am sure we can help you celebrate in better ways :D Personally I am all for people bragging :) I don't bother noting if it is a Champ show win as they are more common but do say if it was an Open show win. And while I have been showing for a while it isn't as if I have Group/Show wins all the time so I am going to shout it out to the world But I do think that putting it as part of the dogs official name is strange as it isn't acknowledged as that on the official register :)

I haven't got my Canine News yet either and we usually get it on the first day. Our membership was paid in June so it isn't as if it should have expired already! Ness, why so sad?

Heartstopping Occurrence.....strange Child In My Yard
mirawee replied to ellz's topic in General Dog Discussion
Interesting that the parents are automatically blamed. I read the post to mean the older child was of an age to be babysitting so why would the parents necessarily be to blame. For all you know the child would get a severe telling off for doing something like that if his parents had known ;) On the other hand they may not have cared less which is really sad for the child. Good to hear that nothing tragic happened though. I would be going over and having a chat to the parents to make sure they are aware. Don't do it in a "your son is a delinquent" way but just say what happened and you are concerned about the consequences should he have tried to do it in a yard where the dogs weren't friendly. -
Lyndsay, Panda is lovely And lovely Weims although at very different ends of the spectrum in terms of puppyhood. The Lappies are on a role in WA :D "My" other rising star, Taavi (again owned by a friend handled by me) beat Anikka on the weekend and went on to win Minor in Group :D And very nearly beat Arlo for BOB. Not bad for a gangly boy  So now in just 4 shows in WA we have 2 Lappies qualified for next years Puppy of the Year Hopefully I will have a photo later tonight :)
