Good luck to you and Gus! Remember to take photos :)
-
Jive is definitely cheeky! And I don't think I have to worry about anyone breaking into the house with Banjo around :D Yay for Hemi!
-
And Banjo's reaction to our neighbour walking with his dogs down the fence line... about 200m away! He has never acted like this when he has seen the neighbour before! Danger's passed Mum... did I do a good job? Don't worry Jive, I will protect you...

Jive photos from the weekend :)
-
A least she sent Jive before receiving payment!!!!
-
Bit hard to pay cash interstate :D That is how I would do it in WA though :) We can't do pending entries in WA so I will have to wait. Fingers crossed I can still get the numbers by Friday or Monday if it arrives on Wes and she puts it in express processing (which I included money for...) If not it obviously isn't meant to be lol.
-
LOL I agree RS! But when I initially said I wouldn't send another money order until the first was refunded but would do a direct deposit she said she would prefer not. I only sent the second money order as she won't register the litter until she receives it and according to her it would arrive in two days if sent registered and I wanted to enter a show that closes next week... According to Aust Post it is 4 working days minimum and they don't track registered mail Of course they didnt tell me that initially an the PO clerk knew the saga!
-
Only speculation and certainly not necessarily the reason my breeder chooses not to go money orders but if you get direct debit then there is a record for tax purposes. If you go money order there is no record.
-
Well done Pockets! But she has a cool name so she was destined to be a star (my old Kelpie shares her name) :D Well done to Tori again as well RNH! We always knew she was a star :D
-
Oh, maybe that meant you couldn't pick it up before then anyway? Strange...
-
That usually only applies to the day it was delivered as they can't guarantee it is back at the PO before then After that date you can pick it up whenever :)
-
Why can't you get it before 2pm? Are you busy or have they said that you can't pick it up before then?

If Jive had her vaccinations I would take her to the beach, but by that stage it will be a bit cold  Australia Post is still crap They have still lost my initial express post letter and I needed to pay as the breeder won't register the pups until she recieves it so got another money order (do Aust Post think money grows on trees or something?) and sent it registered mail at the request of the breeder... well guess what, that isn't being tracked either even though it was sent on Thursday and they don't know where it is and apparently WA to NSW is 4-5 business days so they won't start looking until at least Wednesday! Lesson learnt, no matter how good the "product" I will never deal with anyone who insists on money orders rather than direct deposit of funds for payment! And I recommend noone else does either. On another note, I have updated photos as those who are on FB would have seen... but I can't post them here until I get home tonight
-
So who is planning on going to Canine tomorrow night for the WAO agility/jumping/rally-O fundraising rounds? I have to day off so it makes it easier to get there
-
Aust Post managed to lose the express post letter that contained the money order to pay for Jive... And they won't reissue the money order for 28 days I also dislike not paying by direct deposit... As for more photos- my camera is being stupid ( I think it needs a service...) and it is hard to rake photos in the dark! Will try for more this weekend.

I think the thing with the ACES test is that it is very expensive in comparison to Ziggy who is around $30! $75 isn't bad when you have 1 dog but it is a bit different if you have 5 or more. And Ziggy seems to be better qualified than a lot of the vets who are on the ACES scheme - although it is hard to find a list of just who is ACES certified! On another note - I hate Australia Post
-
Sounds like a sensible cat CC :D OK... can someone tell me how to teach Jive to pay attention to where Banjo is peeing  She goes to play with him and walks directly under his stream
-
I feel like I am constantly after your rejects Tiggy  Have posted in that thread :p
-
That is huge costs! My vet is reasonably expensive for a vaccination and they are only $75 - so $225 for the course. Why were 2 proheart injections given? My understanding is they last 12 months and shouldn't be given until the dog is over 12 months anyway! And while that may be cost to the general public you would think the vet would factor "cost price" not "how much we didn't make because we "owned" the dog at the time. Very very strange.

Well done to everyone who had a go at the RATG! Particularly to Ruby for her pass A hint to anyone getting a puppy... don't get one when you are sick! Actually she hasn't been too bad at all but it is hard when I run out of energy so quickly. I have taught her that afternoon naps on the bed are fun though ;)
-
She is a good puppy :D And since she is my 3rd Kelpie I think I have it covered... the other 2 (and Varda) get to help wear her out What will be interesting is how she copes being left in the puppy pen for half the day tomorrow while I go for a riding lesson  You are braver than me with the Tatt! The design looks lovely though :) Ptolomy, we expect photos tomorrow now

Feel Like Slapping Your Forehead?

Happens a lot in Australia... it is just called "breeders terms"! -
She was up 3 times but actually did something outside each time with only a very short wait so I can't complain. She did think at 5.30am that we needed to get up fully but I managed to get another hour out of her  Can't really blame her since 5.30 = 8.30 for her! Saying that, interupted sleep when I am still not 100% well is bad - I am sooooo glad I didn't get her on Tuesday! She has now had a big play and is about to fall asleep again :D I am so happy with how my three adults are doing with her too :) Banjo just looks at me when she starts jumping over him when he is lying down :p And I mean jumping OVER, so she can "attack" Varda
-
So cute Showdog :) Jive will still fit on my lap when she is an adult LOL I can't believe how tiny she is at the moment though... the last few younger pups I have been playing with have been Lappies so have all the fluff to make them look bigger
-
Photos :D OK not the best quality but it is hard taking photos when the puppy keeps wanting to be with you  What is that fluffy thing???
