Just wanting to let people know that after almost a year since my wife and I started a petition/campaign to fence an existing off leash area in Penrith it has finally happened. JAMISON PARK OFF LEASH AREA HAS A FENCE!!!! YAY.......... we think it's a great park with shade, water, bench seat, bins, bags and a double gate entry. there is still more to happen with it etc. more bench seats, another tap, an extra single gate on the opposite side and some tunnels and concrete blocks to climb on. It is on the corner of Batt St and Racecourse Rd Penrith/South Penrith We also have a face book page http://www.facebook.com/?q=#!/group.ph...106869456008401 Enjoy

New Fenced Leash-free Park In Sw Sydney
kozpink replied to Katdogs's topic in General Dog Discussion
Wow very interesting..............thanks for the info. We have a council meeting tomorrow night. We are asking Penrith Council to 'fence' a off leash dog park in Penrith. Off leash dog parks are useless without a fence. We are asking for a double gate also Well done Canterburry Council, we might use this info tomorrow night. -
I know this is a little of topic.....but we need to get it out there, the meeting is only tomorrow night. Monday 19th July If you live in the Penrith area, we need your help. We have approached Penrith Council to 'Fence' the off leash dog park in Jamison Park. And we need as many people to attend the meeting tomorrow night. Please help spread the word For more info please join our Facebook group....Fenced dog park for Penrith Tomorrow ยท 7:30pm - 9:00pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location Penrith City Council Level 1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Created By Fenced Dog Park For Penrith -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More Info Ok this is it guys, we need your support more than ever before. Please come along to the Council Meeting next Monday night the 19th July At a meeting held last night there were a few councillors against fencing the park, as they feel it doesn't fall under the catagory "RECREATION" ...which is what we need to go under to apply for the money from Federal Gov. So we need as many people there to show the councillors that this is needed for the community. And there are lots of people that will benefit. This is the final "MAJORITY VOTE" for the councillors We need to fill the gallery this time. You wont need to say anything we just need the numbers.
