We are going to have fun and let the dogs have fun (this is a big one!) 2. If your dog is not so good with others, it is ok because there are other runs you can use 3. We want ALL the dogs to have fun, so no humping, fighting etc allowed. And as above there are other runs we can use. 4. The more the merrier 5. Not restricted to DOL members 6. $15.00 PER dog (Sorry, but there is no discount for bringing multiple dogs/puppies, its $15 a dog/puppy. Has been this way since we started). 7. BYO drinks 8. We usually each bring something. 9. I am happy for those who do not bring food to pay $5.00 but i need to know how many are not bringing anything so I can make sure we have enough. Sahla, i am soo soo sorry that you had to return home to find your beautiful young 'Sahla' had passed away I feel very sad for u And the 'Not knowing how? or why? this happened' :D U would definately be in shock and it will take a lot of time to sink in.. So devastating U mustn't feel guilty! Do not beat yourself up! U were away doing a very good deed and there may not hav been a lot u could have done for Sahla even if u were there U must think about the good times with her and not feel bad. Woodbyne I am very sorry for your loss Its sad that 'she' didn't wake once more for u, but i'm sure she was very peacful and comfortable in the warm and loving home that u had provided her with. I also know how difficult it is to refer to ur recently 'passed away' companion by their name.. Its hard to say and type. HAHAHA This thread has given me a laugh ! My dogs/dog do not like water much.. And they used to look at me sumtime while i was in the shower, just watching me and thinking i was CRAZY getting in THERE lol :D My very first pei used to freak out and bolt when i got my towel out of the linen cupboard for MY SHOWER ! Thinking it was for HER ! Its a good idea tho, for dogs that like the shower :D

In May 2010, i travelled with my two Shar Pei Millie and Sarge to a place called Johanna. We stayed in lovely dog friendly accommodation at http://www.johannabeach.com/ Dog friendly beaches, dog friendly cafes, and i also took the dogs to see sum waterfalls (on lead) The cottages were lovely and the dogs loved it as did I They each had their own big cane basket with complimentary treats and Natures Gift food. The lady who runs the place is Helen. She was looking at selling, so i'm not sure if it is stil running or not but it was gr8 and it wouldn't hurt to call them to find out

Everyday is so hard without her :D Its taking time to cum to terms with her not being here Her smell, her twinkly eyes, her luscious velvet head and little ears, her warm body and nudging against me... Sarge is still very weepy, and i am going to get his eyes looked at, they are terribly watery and look sore more than the usual bit of tears. The other day i played a series of Photo's on our big screen TV. Sarge was glued to the screen and staring profusely as the Millie slide show went from picture to picture. HE CAN SEE HER and HE IS VERY AWARE that sumthing terrible has happened. He KNOWS she is gone. He was even licking a photograph of her this morning, a photo taken of Millie last Xmas. WE had this same picture on out Xmas Dinner table. I miss her everyday, i wish she was here with me, but she isn't.

Its so very very hard :D I am feeling your pain Ruffles It isn't fair that 'they' are no longer here with us But the time has cum - and they are gone, gone to a place, a place where they can rest easy and be free... Free of any pain or suffering, free from a life that had its troubles, free to be angels up above, 'to guide us back to them when our time comes' I hope my words can help u in a small way. I am trying to convince myself too, telling myself that My Heart Dog Millicent is watching over me and waiting til we meet again... *Hugs*

My parents organized for an artist to visit Millie whilst being held at the vet.. The lady creates moulds for babies hands and feet as well as the occasional 'dogs paw' I am very greatful for this. It will be a very special 'keepsake' Millie's front paws have been moulded and sculptured to keep as a special memory of her. The paws hav been professionally made using sculpting material and silver. The complete frame, photo, and paws should be ready in a couple of weeks I am coming to terms with having lost her, but it isn't easy. I had bought new Christmas headbands and Halo's to take xmas photo's of Mill & Sarge but hadn't taken the photo's yet :s I'm kicking myself for missing one last xmas photo shoot.. I will try and take Sargey's xmas pic at sum stage.. Mill's 6th Birthday would have been on Jan 12th ;) Its going to be strange to not celebrate it But i hav to be strong for Sarge.. maybe i will make him a cake instead.
