I havent had that much trouble training my gundog (pointer) Percyk, she is goofy and silly and takes a while to get things but once its in there shes all good! I guess just not as drivey as working breeds?

Sorry, Offtopic but what do you call GSP's in conversation? I saw a beautiful solid liver pup at the park and was talking to his owner and couldn't bring myself to say "I love the liver German Short Haired Pointers"- it was such a mouthful to say!! ;) I say GSP most owner's should in theory know what you mean ;)

I tend to agree with viz and pointer, but i the wei doesn't tick the same boxes... they aren't exactly an easy going breed... there are some that are more easy going than others, but for example the girls can be quite full on and aware ALL the time, the males are more laid back, easy going and friendly with people but can be quite challenging with other dogs. yeah i wasnt too sure about the wei's, I like them but havent had too much to do with them the only ones I have spent time with seemed nice!

Glad your looking into the pointers Pandii, I'm only new to the breed but if you want to know anything feel free to shoot me a PM. I think your spot on with vizsla's, pointers (either kind), what about wei's!

Am I wrong to find this annoying? I'm in 2 minds - a little part of me thinks, oh well, that might get him adopted, whereas the more prevalent side of me thinks "why would people be promoting a "Designer Dog" as a purebred? Don't they have a problem with these BYB's producing glorified Mutts!" I'm sure he's a lovely dog, and I love all dogs, they all deserve the same care and love, but really, if we don't want to promote Back-Yard sheisters, shouldn't we be calling a spade a spade? Should someone outright-lie to find this boy a home? What are your opinions - harmless marketing ploy, or shameless lie that promote's DD's? (just making it really clear, i'm not saying this dog doesn't deserve a home as much as a purebred or anything like that, i'm just wondering what other peoples thoughts are) Definately a marketing ploy and hey if it gets the dog a home then it cant hurt right? Half the dogs listed as pure dont look like what they are claimed to be be! I think the red cattle dog Rex is the funniest, he looks to me to be very much pure so why they have him listed as a cattle cross yet the border collie that looks like its crossed with kelpie is a pure border collie...weird!

Medowie? There are a few of us hitting that one! Its 27th and 28th of feb or something like that! Mums new little pug boy will be hitting the ring at the beggining of march probably at the Lake District show I think it is at hills, March 13th or 14th or something along those lines!
