I plan on getting ones soon, does that count? For the size I need no other trolleys compare price wise. I know alot of people who have them and have had no issues. What was the issue with the first ones?

Easy to manage coat and non/low shedding dont exactly go hand in hand!

I'd agree with all three of those suggestions especially Pointers. In my experience with my guys, my two girls were not raised round kids but have interacted with kids at some point aged from 2-10 (my cousins) and BOTH have been amazing. I sold one of my puppies to a home of 5 kids the youngest being four and he is very much loved and spoilt!

I have Pointers and all mine start coming off the day they hit the ring for the first time! I like a cleaner look! Doubt its a winning edge but i do think it makes my guys, espcially my dog who has a very handsome head and face look alot nicer! I do ALOT of trimming on my smooth coated griffon, I think with short coated breeds that its better to do as much as possible to have your dog looking amazing because we all know how hard a nicely groomed "fluffer" (coated breed) can be to beat..... even bad ones! As the saying goes, you can hid alot under coat!!!

Ive not really thought about it. I feed 3 x adult pointers and 3 x little dogs. I guess it would be between $30-$60 a week depending on what dry I feed and what meat I buy. When I can afford it they are fed advance active or puppy when I cant afford it they are fed either bonnie puppy or working dog or supercoat puppy or active.

Things To Consider When Choosing A Second Dog?

I tend to agree, I wouldnt be put off getting a puppy especially with a pointer will be easier for you to shape them to being exactly what you are after. -
Things To Consider When Choosing A Second Dog?

Sorry but I really hope the OP doesnt take much of what you said very seriously! I do not hunt and I have 3 x very content Pointers! If I worked on your theory when homing my last litter then I'd have 7 adolecent pointers hanging round the house... but then maybe Im a terrible owner anyway because i dont actively hunt with my dogs?!?! Some people just want happy well breed well socialised pets they dont want a dog to take hunting. The average pet owner wants to take their dog for a big walk or run each day ect they dont want to teach their dogs to hunt! Besides the thing with pointers is if they want to stalk/hunt birdies/flies/moths ect they will. I have one who is pretty usless and frankly she was scared of my budgie :-/ But I also have a boy who is from hungarian hunting lines, I was told when i got him he would be a different kettle of fish and he has been. He has much more instinct than my girls and he will hunt through out the day but I dont think he cares much that he doesnt get to run in paddocks and truely hunt I make sure his brain is stimulated in other ways so its never been an issue! -

Well if thats the case, I HIGHLY reccommend you and your OH meet some pointers!!! And I'd go a female! Age time lines ect are debateable, whenever your ready! I show my guys but have also recently started dog sports/training and they ARE smart, just require a gentle hand. EDITED to add, mine love playing rough and they mix with alsorts of breeds some of which are roughr nd Ive never had an issue. Showdog is right they do hate/feel the cold and they can be very birdie but if you put the time into training them off lead as babies usually they can be taken offlead as adults. -
I've noticed a few photos popping up on Facebook of McKenzie and Mike, looks like shes having a great time! Well done to you both!

One from my last litter was Puck til he left... I had a bitch called Hooters too! LOL! My pet hate is obvious/boring/over used names! I do have a thing for human names for dogs... We also name alot of our griffons after harry potter characters, it started with mums dog dumbledore and I cant see it finishing anytime soon... mum also has a pansie, a luna and I have a Neville!

I'm Friends With The Judge (or I Am Paying Them)...

I give every judge atleast two goes unless they dont deserve it! Then I decide wether they are ever worth going under again! -
So easter is a busy time for us showies... with the royal and lots of specialty shows. So my question to DOL'ers, how did you go? Lets have abit of a brag fest! I only did the Royal with my Pointer boy konrad as there arnt many other gundog specialties on around that time of year (next year hopefully there will be a breed specialty) BUT he showed his pants off and picked himself up a Reseve dog challange! My little griffon Neville had a very busy time, he won jnr in show at the country griffon club show, he then won a large BOB (21 griffs entered) at the 4p's toy dog show and was short listed with only 4 others for BEST IN SHOW! I was over the moon, he then went on to win his class at the royal which is all I wanted from him seeings hes only in jnr :-) He also picked up a DCC at the flat face toy show!!! All in all a very sucessful week and abit :-) Next year I hope to have Neville and maybe Konrad in rally-o and agility at the royal!!!

Hi jig saw , We came and watched for abit last night, was very interesting. Just curious I read on the website about training collars/leads, do you guys consider slip leads as correctional devices? Ive been training on slip leads and I really like them but wondering if I should change to flat collars. Taa!

Thats Petits, they are so very cheeky and naughty and happy ALL the time! My mum owns two, she doesnt show one at all anymore for various reason but her bitch who I personally think is very nice gets shown occasionally and is actually fairly closely related to Jilly! Watching her take BIS was very exciting, a huge win for the breed!
