  1. OOO totally forgot pugs were on today! Exciting!
  2. Yup - I've heard it's quite common. Perhaps strip her coat out and see how it recovers? Would clipping them make it worse? Sorry, I dont have aussies but am a groomer. Do NOT under any circumstances clip or let a groomer clip an aussie. It will stuff the coat completely! Buy a furminator, they are cheapest on ebay and give the bitch a reallllly good bath and blow dry with a high powered dog dryer and once she is completely dry attack her pants/feathering with the furminator, do not do it wet or you may cut the coat!
  3. :-( So sorry to read this Cant even imagine what you are going thru right now, lossing one doggie is hard enough but both....
  4. Abit sad if she felt she couldnt come back here but I understand it, some people here can be abit FULL on when things go wrong Whilst we are on the subject of who went where, what happened to the chick that was buying the blue staffy pup that everyone advised her against?
  5. I thought about her once and thought it was weird that she just fell of the face of the DOL earth, but I guess it happeneds sometimes. Wonder if there was more to it?
  6. Hate to say it but would probably be cheaper to put them into kennels. I dont know of anywhere you could hire something like this.
  7. 12 dogs, 11 bitches for Pointees 6 dogs, 4 bitches for PBGVs! Why thank you dear...Good numbers for both breeds!!!
  8. Its not many sites really, will be interesting to see how fast the sites go!
  9. We should in theory be at show training this week I will try and remember to check it out!
  10. Holy cow thats ALOT of pugs, how many pointees and are there any PBGVs entered? THANNNNX
  11. I don't agree with this in regards to dogs. They are a lifetime commitment most of the time. your "requirements" might change and the dog might no longer be "needed". So you ghet what you want even if it doesnt fit the requirements? So a person that doesnt have time to groom should get a poodle cause they are pretty and they want one? I definately think you get what you NEED in otherwords you get the dog that fits your requirements. Theres no point someone getting a breed they cant live with!
  12. Both would suit what you want to do. Showing wise I would say generally theres more competition in aussies (higher numbers at most shows) around then there are belgians and sometimes it can be eaiser to have breed where the numbers are lower. I started showing with pugs which have 20-40 pugs each show and it tkes its toll entering all the time and losing, we are getting there now but we have stuck it out for almost three years. I think really you need to look the temperment of each breed and decide which you'd prefer to live with as both would suit obedience agility and showing. Personally I LOVE belgians but then also have a soft spot for aussies as one of my show friends that we sit with has them!
  13. Another vote for Charlestown vets...they are apart of The Lakes vets that jigsaw reccommended. Ive been to a few differnt puppy classes over the years and theirs are THE best! the trainers actually KNOW what they are talking about as they are like jigsaw said, DELTA trained, unlike most vets who have vet nurses running the class that simpley dont have a clue!
  14. My girl doesnt chew hers but could get her older ones off, a friend made her on that goes over her head so doesnt undo at the front and just has a velcro strap round her tummy! Persephones suggestion seems good! P.s. I think you need to post some piccys of your boy!

I like beagles better though :D You can't be puppy clucky when you've already got a puppy!! :D They are just hairy beagles...welll they are abit loooonger than a beagle too. We call Niles...Nearly Niles cause hes aways NEARLY there. He doesnt bark much but when he does he sounds like a walrus!
